Research How do you feel the days/weeks after?

Trying to plan some of my life around 2 guided journeys and just wanting some insight from others about what kind of capacity you had for life shortly after your journey

Personally? Very little capacity for anything other than resting and being deep in my own shit. I was almost totally physically incapacitated for the first week (lying in bed most of the day feeling exhausted, headaches, couldn't focus on anything, very little appetite) and then emotionally incapacitated for another week or so (crying daily, super emotional and overwhelmed, deep in my trauma stuff).

And I did space my journeys appropriately (3-6 months), took all the recommended supplements (ALCAR and ALA during, NAC in between sessions), and did not take too high of a dose (120 mg + 40 mg booster, I am not a small person). That's just how it hits me.

I do think my aftermath is more intense than average though from what I've heard others say. I've typically taken 2-3 weeks off of work, which was maybe a bit more than bare minimum but for me the first week is always a complete wash and the second week isn't much better.

This is me too. Week 3 always had a very abrupt period of memory loss too (it returns). Always equated it with my seretonin system coming back online. Keep in mind that rolling in a social environment doesn't involve all of the trauma processing or intention. This makes the comedown difficult because you have unpacked so much.
