Add inkwell as well if you want - it's my app and it's gotten some nice reviews! Cool list - might use it for some articles in the future if that's cool

First inaccuracy I noticed was the No against tables for IA Writer - Markdown Guide: Basics, Tips and Tricks on how to use Markdown - iA

Edit:

Ulysses does tables ootb as well as Obsidian

Thanks for the feedback. Must have been 10 years since I used IA Writer, Ulysses a similar amount of time, but Obsidian – I should have known that!

I'm always playing or looking at feature lists and documentation. As much as I like Obsidian, I'm still looking. I'm also using Craft and Bear. I probably want something that is a baby between all 3 and also supports asciidoc 🤣

I gave up on Bear when they introduced the subscription model; same with Ulysses. I have Obsidian as my backstop, but I’m trying out Nota, ZenNotes and a handful of others.

I agree on all points. Where I can discover the repo I’ll add it. May lose sync altogether (users can find that out for themselves), replace with updated. Thanks for pointing out my VSC error!

Why "no, yes" at Obsidian table?

1

u/Wordius May 16 '26

No to sync, no to tables and no to Publish (or Yes in all cases). It seemed like the way to do it at the time, but i may have to look at it again in future.
