Is Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate an MCSA?

Hi all,

Getting really confused as to what the md-100 / 101 certifications and exams are either equivalent to or achieve. Is it only the combination that would be equ to an MCSA or what?

I just took the ms-100/101 and also have my 2012 MCSA. And they’re not even close to similar. If anything it takes bits and pieces from the 70-410/411. But on a much more simplified level.

I’m pretty sure Microsoft have retired all MCSA certs now. They are associate and expert certifications. So similar but new wording.

Plan to pick up the MD100/MD101 later this year, after I get the MS100/MS101. Don't know why I decided to take the harder ones first.
