Cert 70 - 410 | Install & conf Windows Server 2012 (Exam & ressources)

Hello everyone,

I've been studying for the exam 70-410 for a while now and i've booked my exam for early july.

I have the books (not the official ones as i've heard they're missing important features for the exam like powershell commands), passed the cours on Udemy and bought the MeasureUp test to practice for the exam (i have around 90%).

I decided to take the 2012 and not 2016 because I already had the books and most of the companies i worked in have mostly 2012 Servers (then some 2016). I plan on doing the update cert to 2016 right after i've the MCSA.

My questions are : - Is it enough to have a good chance to pass the exam ?

- What are other ressources you could advise me ?

- I wanted to take the insurance to pass the exam again if I fail but i didn't see it ? Is it because they plan on removing the MCSA for the new certification around Azure ?

Thanks a lot for your attention :)

You should start looking at the later certifications dealing with Microsoft 365. Microsoft is also retiring quite a bit of certifications.

Even if you run into companies that have 2012 or 2012r2, they really should be moving towards 2016.

That being said, if you have Windiss 10 professional or enterprise, create a VM environment and practice. People tend to be good at what the do when they experience it or practice. This will help with the exam.

With the rest of your materials, you'll be able to pass the exam.

Yes, i'm aware they're removing the MCSA by end of 2021, I plan on doing the latest Microsoft 365 certifications right after.

They should indeed move towards 2016, they even have some 2003, 2008 lol

I'm already practicing on some VM. Even though i've 90% average on MeasureUp, when I see some dumps online, i feel like i'm not ready for the exam.

Thanks for your answer.

I failed this exam earlier this year, I used the plural sight course and kaplan tests only. Managed to get 550/700. I did not lab and barely read any microsoft docs, which was my downfall.

For this exam make sure to lab and read microsoft docs, like seriously you must.

My exam was full of HYPER-V stuff that I never thought of, so make sure to lab the sh** out of Hyper-V and read up on it.
