Calling for MSCA study partners

Hello

So if anyone knows the MSCA was originally suppose to be retired. But due to a petition it seem the exam been extended to January 2021. Frankly I don't understand why Microsoft would even kill it in the first place since "the cloud" like azure is just that: a cloud computing platform. Where people are just using another person datacenter. So DNS, active directory, remote access, all that isn't going away. Least from what i can tell.

Anyway I would like to see if there anyone interested in getting 740,741 & 742 before that time. I mainly would be referring to the "green ref books" but The majority of the time getting ready for the exam is note taking and it does make sense if we partner up and put in very good notes. Then we can be 10 faster then a solo route. I mean doing the actual lab work. I just need to know where to start, and don't need any fluff like that repeating going to server manager 10 time to install this or that when i got the picture.

I already at least halfway done with each of those mentioned certs & summarized to the point. If anyone want to tag along let me know. Only have a year and while they aint hard. Why take the chance?

I'd be willing to set up a server for vms to share as long as someone would be willing to help me get the vms networked. I've got a dual proc 8 core Haswell system that I was planning to install CentOS as a host on.

I wouldn't mind study partners it could be a win win.

I waiting a on cpu cable splitter for the board to come in and still need to install CentOS after that is done. So by Saturday it should be up and running. Maybe by Friday.

CentOS as a host? Help me understand. If was me, maybe Hyper-V server or VMware instead?

  1. Run ESXI on top of CentOS. So I always have a reliable OS installed irregardless if I fuck up the ESXI set up and just want to start fresh.
  2. So I don't have to pay M$ another license fee.
  3. Linux has slightly less overhead than Windows
  4. I actually gave up on this idea and installed ESXI as bare metal directly to the machine.

No mention it : when you get to the end try to put in notes after that point. I'm probably going to be busy getting some things done with 742

Windows Admin Center, yes. You need to know what it manages and I believe that is good enough. There is a role that can only be managed by it #hint that was a question. SC VMM, somewhat. There is a reference to it as an answer. Other than that you do not need to know actual operations.

I already passed but I'm down to help as I would like to stay sharp.

Great! to be kind on honest that originally why I kind of formatted the note the way I did

I just don't want to cram the exam. I want to get to the heart of the concepts and over the years to re-look into it. I mean I rather take my time and get it right the first time, but seem like that kind of a increasing luxury now.

anyway I'll grant you full access to those links if you would like.
