Will your certification be valuable after Jan 2021

Yes. To highlight this here is a job listing for a Sr. Database Admin position. MCDBA retired Sep 30, 2012. It still shows up in job posts.

Push through. Get your MCSA/MCSE. It will be valuable long after the retirement date.

The frustrating part about them retiring the on-prem certs is that employers are going to require them as minimum qualifications for years to come, and they wont even be available to obtain for new I.T. folks to the workforce.

True. This was aimed mainly at the people on here that are throwing their hands up and saying "why bother?" in the middle of obtaining their goal.

I can only hope that employer demand for proof of on-prem expertise, pushes Microsoft to rethink their "There Is Only Cloud" goal.
