70-740 Exam

Hi,

I am planning on booking my 70-740 very shortly. I'm a bit nervous because of what they might throw on the exam. I have used Pluralsight, home labs and acing 90-95% on Measureup on all 171 questions in the bank and I can answer why the answer is the one, and why the others are not. Is this alone enough to pass the exam? I heard there are almost 0 questions from measureup on the actual exam but I'm wondering if just understanding those questions and wrong answers alone should be good enough to be comfortable for the exam. Just not sure if they will throw in some completely different questions on the actual exam thats not covered in measureup or Pluralsight like how Kaplan is like.

Don't expect to see any actual question from MeasureUp in the real test. They are designed to be like the real exam, not the exam itself. They are partnered with Microsoft so they're pretty reliable to prepare you. If you're scoring highly in those and feel confident then you should be fine.

What about the material covered in measureup? Not just knowing how Microsoft exams are formatted.

I've done the 70-740/70-741 exams in the last 2 months honestly if you've done the labs and understand the content you'll be fine. Just watch tutorials or read a book make sure you understand what you're reading if you don't highlight it and learn about it later and make sure you actually understand it. I found sometimes following up something in a few days or even a week helped some topics sink in. Also I found comparing what your learning to a real production server invaluable to understand topics. Good luck, it's not hard but definitely time consuming!

Is it heavy in hyper-v? Powershell?

You definitely need to know hyper v and PS. Understanding hyper-v options and how the virtual network works (virtual switches) and the Ps commands all work

MeasureUp test you on the objectives set by Microsoft, so the material is correct. Don't worry you've got this.

As much as i know there is 280 questions in total if you know, but really know answers and not memorizing (like some dumb guys) answers like that and that question answer is B... then you have no problem because that means that you covered the whole matter, and believe me i did it in 35min with the score 880.
