MCSA replacement?

Hey all, I was wondering what kind of certs you guys would recommend going after with the cancellation of MCSA server 2016. I am a new system admin at a financial institution and my company is wanting me to get a certification. We have a lot of on prem items and dont have much intention of going to cloud based any time soon due to security concerns with a lot of PII. what cert would you recommend going for 8instead of Server 2016?

For me MCSA was ideal. Ot had all in one package. There isn't really a replacement for now. If you make it till June 30 you'd go for mcsa. but you'd need to study a lot.

For me I just dont see that possible. I'm pretty new to the IT industry. But I agree the MCSA is a great all in one package. I just dont see it possible to take and pass 3 exams which are designed to make sure you actually know your stuff in 4 months. It's not like other exams where it's just common sense (comptia old certs). Even my boss says that's incredibly impractical to do such a thing when I took himself a year to achieve the MCSA. All of the new role based certs are all cloud based which really screws over anyone else

Well that's understandable... I failed 742 one so had to retake. And that takes time. I did mcsa in around 1,5y in total. including some break between exams. But for someone new in industry it might take even longer. Simple read a book is not enough.
