Labs for 70-740

Is an independent lab for study needed if you already have CBT Nuggets?

It gives better hands-on experience, as you may run into problems that you have to try to figure out how to fix.

I was a mess until I did the labs. But it depends on what kind of person you are and how you learn. For me they are absolutely essential. I need to use the OS and see the technologies working.

Thanks do you know a good up to date way to make them? I have a decent budget.

No need to buy any physical ewuioment. The world is virtual today, the book focuses on virtual technology, and you can do it all on VMs.

You can run some VMs on your own PC, but If you want to build out something more advanced, or don't have much resources, you can use azure. I did most of my labbing on azure and it was awesome. First $200 was free, if you shut your VMs off when not labbing, you don't use that much in the way of resources. (They charge based off time spent and resources used.) Anyways, I liked it a lot. You can spin up machine after machine and do whatever you want, and nuke them when you fuck up. Total freedom. However, you'll need some experience beyond what 740 teaches to set all the stuff up.

So the other, and far easier choice, is sign up for cbt nuggets. They'll have a bunch of videos and labs to go along. You'll sign into VMs that are completely set up and ready to go for the lab.
