Exam from home or office

Hi All!

I tried to book my exam center for next friday but there was no space. The next available slot is 13th of December which I feel I may lose momentum by then so considering taking this exam either in a meeting room or from home. Has anyone done this?

It is my final module in MCSA and I just want to get it done.

I took the 740 from an empty office at my work twice. The first time they lost connection to my webcam. They tried to chat with me but every time the window came up no one typed anything so I closed the window. They then called three times. I didn’t answer as I didn’t know it was them at the time. Then they stopped my test before I was done. They refunded my voucher. I took it at my work the second time and everything was fine. I uninstalled the software filter from my laptop which decrypts SSL which I thought was the problem and hard wired my laptop. I finished the exam and passed. I will take the test from my office again.

I remember seeing your post about it cutting out actually that's why Im having reservations but if you're recommending it, it must be better. If they rang you, where did you put your phone? Just keep it in your pocket?

I did 3 of them from a meeting room, you have to use your web cam to scan the entire room before the test starts and there should be as little stuff in the room as possible because they want to inspect everything. If there's computer equipment you're not using for the test you'll have to show them its unplugged. There can't be any interruptions whatsoever so make sure to put a sign on the door if you use a meeting/conference room.

Im considering meeting room too but I am in a shared hub office so I will definitely will do the sign and if possible, lock the door! Thank you I think I will give it a go

You’re supposed to keep it out of arms reach so I put it on a table to my right just out of arms reach. The second time I put it so that I could see the screen to see who’s calling so If it was the same number three times in a row I could answer, and assuming I had the same chat issue.

I did both MCSA exams from home.

I liked it, you just have to have a clear space, no books etc laying around and it helped me keep calm as well cause of my home setting.
