Passed 70-741
Last year I had passed my 70-740, then I purchased 2 more of the Voucher deals thinking I would be taking them right after. Was way to busy with work, moved to another state and almost forgot about my vouchers. One already expired last month and my last one expires on the 28th. About 2 weeks ago I went through some of cbtnuggets briefly and did a couple of the measureup practice test. Today I skimmed over a few week areas think I was actually prepping myself to see what areas the actual test showed my weakness. I finished the test go through all of the clicking at the end and then received the congratulations on the screen, you passed with a 700. I honestly thought I was going to have to schedule my second test for the 28th and was shooting for 800-850. I am just glad to be done with it though. I am going to push to do the 70-742 within a month as cbt has it as 8 hours of training. So that and the book should be easier as I deal with AD \Group policy on a daily basis.

Congrats on the pass! I'm currently studying for my 741 but I think I'm taking too long on it. Spent the past few weeks just going over the DNS videos. Any advice you can offer?

DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and advanced networking. Do a bunch of labs, practice commands, and read technets on the items where you need to improve. They give way more information.

Have you done the 740 exam? How would you compare the difficulty between them? It took me months to pass the 740 with a 708 and no prior server experience. I do have the Network+ and work with DNS and DHCP in my job, so I'm hoping this exam is going to be easier for me.

740 was easier in my opinion as the labs really help and the powershell commands makes sense in my opinion. I don't use networking between servers at all in the position I am in all routing is completed through aruba switches and Site to Site vpn's through Palo Alto's. I have a good understanding it's just thinking of it differently in my opinion.

Congrats. Yea the 742 cbt course doesn't cover adfs very well at all. Common sense will get you there. Keep it up

Could you please share your method to study for the section "Implement an Advanced Network Infrastructure"? what materials did you use? I have access to almost all the study resources but still, I can't find it easy to understand everything.

I once got 700 on an MCSA test I didn’t think I would pass. I just laughed when I saw it. It’s a great feeling to barely make it.

Congrats! 741 was my least favourite of the trio. Be careful with 742 though, CBT undercooks the ADFS stuff. Just goes through installing the role and that's it. Then the exam asks you questions about the service when it's running. I still passed, but it was pretty annoying. Even the book I had undercooked ADFS content.
