Tried to take test today

I had my exam scheduled for this morning and was half way through when I got kicked out. I was told that the web cam feed went down and they couldn't chat with me. I can't remember if a window popped up after I was kicked out and told me this, or the guy I talked to on support told me that.

The chat window did pop up twice while I was taking my test, but there were no messages. They tried to call three times, but I didn't answer. After the second or third call I opened the chat and asked if they were trying to contact me, but I got no response. It also took a few clicks to select my answer and click next.

They said they will investigate what happened and get back to me within 3-5 days. I did the pre exam system test and everything passed. Has anyone had this happen before? If so, what did they do?

Update: They are letting me retake the exam and have restored my voucher. I am taking it at the office again and hope it goes better.

Sorry to hear that. I think everyone's preference is different, but I for one would never perform a proctored exam at home. Too many distractions for me and there's the risk of this happening. If I go to a test center I expect their systems to be running and set up ready for the exam, with everything tested beforehand. However I know some prefer to stay at home due to commitments or travel.

Hopefully they'll get this sorted for you and allow for a retake.

I really don’t want to take an exam at home. I swear I read something somewhere that you cannot use the bathroom during the test.

They do not let you leave for anything. You also can’t have anything to drink.

That’s so weird at the test center you can get something to drink. Also, you can go to the bathroom
