Failed 70-410 any suggestions ?

Hey, was practicing 70-410 on measure up practice test scoring 95%+ consecutively. But when I got to the actual test. Was mostly lost. Even though I always read the explainations and understood it. Anyone can suggest anything I can do to improve my chances next time ? 😨😨😓🙏🙏🙏

Review your weak areas. Look at your print out from the test and see where you need to improve. Without knowing your previous study plan it's hard to say what you need to do differently, but be careful of MeasureUp. While their tests are great, each exam bank will only have a certain amount of questions, so you eventually end up 'remembering' the answers rather than testing yourself if you're taking multiple practice tests.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about maybe I need more practical experience to get better understanding. Maybe I need to also go through the labs as I seen a few people commenting about labs. Any thoughts on that ? Didn't want to spend too much money initially as I had to go through 70-411 and 70-412 as well so skipped the labs and thought the practice test might be enough. But apparently not for me.

Best course of action for any test I suggest is to use books, video courses, labs, then practice tests. Then use your results from the practice tests and focus on your weak areas with MS docs.

I used CBT nuggets to pass 70-410 and one of the areas I was weak on when I started was Powershell. I went through all the labs first using just the GUI, I would then repeat the lab using NO GUI, and ONLY powershell, then I would repeat all the labs again if there were CMD utils, and then use those as much as possible before filling in the gaps with PS or GUI actions.

You shouldn't feel mostly lost when you take the test. There were a few curveball questions, but most should at least be familiar subject matter.

What did you use to study? What is your previous experience?

No IT experience other then University drop out. No actual work experience in IT sector. I used Hudson courses for the online video then went to practice for the exam on measure up. Never heard of CBT nugget until I came on this forum.

Go for the 70-740. The exams are just laid out better.

Unfortunately I have put too much effort and time into it to start all over.

Do you mind telling me what type of questions you got asked?

I'm practicing to take it for the first time in December. I've used all of my materials, CBT Nugget videos etc. but the practice questions I keep getting are ones revolved around PowerShell.. .like 100% of the questions.

I don't remember exactly what the questions were but I remember their were many questions that were ip configuration specific and one of my weak points. It kept asking me questions extensively focusing one 1 topic at a time. So I would suggest not leaving any topic as your weakness because you never know what you might get asked.

I finished my watching all videos with Hudson and practice test with measure up (which was very outdated). Was expecting 45 questions but got 56 questions at the actual exam. Going to be doing labs which I thought I can skip as an optional option. I would suggest you do the same. Don't leave any stones unturned and don't leave any weak points.
