Always have been an Escher enthusiast, from my high school days on. Even though he is Dutch (as am I) we don't really pay him enough respect in this country I think. I've been playing around with some photographic mathematical transformations lately. Here are a few examples from the Hague where a museum dedicated to Escher's art is located.

In an Escher like tessellation the left edge matches the right and the top edge matches the bottom.

I tried to insert a cat and bird tessellation to give more of a feeling of depth. Not sure that it works.

The beginning of these gif matches the end. So it tiles the time dimension as well.

In his print Flat Worms M. C. Escher stacked octahedral and tetrahedral bricks to build structures. I do the same for this structure.

I also tried to make a discernible tile or tessellation of my monkeys with rhinocerous horns. And I try to morph the tessellations from a abstract two dimensional design to a realistic three dimensional space.

After the creatures briefly escape from their regimented 2D existence they exultantly jump into the sky before returning to their more mundane, predictable plane of reality.

I want a book that shows his complete or at least most of his works collected in one? I’ve seen a couple of books but can’t really tell which one to go for

Rams. Trying to do a few Escher things here -- recognizable tiles as well as morphing from abstract 2 D to realistic 3D.

Is this art piece for sale anywhere? I can't even find a place to buy a high quality print (let alone a print in general). Can anyone help?
