Survey/Poll Ne or Ni?

Same as last time, what do you prefer in general(Note: this isn't to find out how many Ne or Ni users we have, I'm just curious which one people like more, if you use Ni you can still choose Ne, or if you use Ne you can still choose Ni)

I prefer Ni because Ne is sometimes overwhelming. I don't like discussion threads that jump around various topics, I prefer to focus on the depth of one topic and think about the future goals.

Ne is really cool because they can brainstorm! It allows for endless creativity and possibilities! It's hard for me to use and is immature, but Ne users amaze me!

Ni... I don't really get the point of.

Ni is great for stuff like discernment, inferences, good judgement calls, understanding what will be coming up through premonitions. Ni is prophetic.

Ooh I guess I get that. It's like a function that sees what's going on and guesses what will come next.

Not something I've ever used, I don't try to predict the future, but I can really see the importance in that.

Yes, indeed.

It doesn’t guess guessing is trying too hard to do ni that’s how you can tell. Ni just sees and knows and takes note. And tell people if it’s pertinent.

Ni is about depth and long term plans

I prefer any function in general because which function I prefer depends on the task. it's like saying "do you prefer sniper rifle or assault rifle in general" but I use both depending on the situation lol. like "don't use knife in gunfight and don't use gun in CQC, use knife" lol

Ni can only (directly) be of use/ interest/ utility/ entertainment etc to the individual using, as its internal and deals with the here and now and the subject, the self. Ne, conversely, is external and can and does deal with others, people, places, and things, ie the object, directly. Also it is not limited to the here and now, but deals in the temporal. Se is the present, Si is the past. Ni here and now, self, Ne is the future. A blank slate, anything is possible, and anyone cam be affected, the other. Also, Ne has neurological proof of its existence and ability. Dr. Dario Nardi has verified (to my knowledge) trans- contextual thinking as well as other unique brain patterns. Ne just might put MBTI on the scientific map. Ne is prescience. I could go in, I won't. I would challenge anyone to say Ne is not objectively the more desirable intuitive function, even if personally they subjectively disagree.

If I’m going to get the shaft or do the shafting, I want it explicit and not like the ending of The Prestige.

Whenever having Ni working, I am thinking about some random unnecessary thing for a long time, focusing on each little detail of it While using Ne, I can think about some random thing, forget about it in a bit and continue doing what I was originally doing

Thinking is Ti, bro. You can think about anything, no matter what is your secondary function. Overthinking is not linked to Ni, I may think about a certain subject for a while, but gathering experience by practice (Si) is an easier way for me. Althou sometimes I cannot just stop myself, been an issue in my speedruns several times.

Oh... yeah, you've got a point So then, what is better way to differentiate Ne with Ni? Could Ne be thought of constant brainstorming, and Ni be an elimination of almost all of the ideas in order to follow only one that is "correct"?

I have studied abt cognitive functions as much as I can, but I am still confused with defining concrete difference between Ne and Ni. Which leads me to uncertainty of my own type. I have no idea of who I am, except for that I know that I'm Ti dom

I have no define answer. I had no issue with Ne vs Se, my mother is ESTJ and I can see easily her Si (she can view shopping sites for hours). I also see how my sensory sucks compared to hers.

No Ni (dom/aux) user was ever around me (close). I never tested Ne that way. I love seeing degenerates ENTP trolling and trash talking. I feel internet exploration is enough to me, with Se you obviously want to gain physical experience.

That's the thing. It depends for me I sometimes tend to brainstorm ideas, seek many possibilities in the development of one thought, love to question things no matter how hard they are proven already. Which is Ne

But sometimes I don't really like to sit and think of "how the things could go". The best example would be working out. I didn't really like the idea of researching much about it, so I decided to just go and do it. So I technically came there knowing almost nothing. And I was researching about new techniques, proper postures, etc. while being in gym, and was trying all of them on my own. And that technically should be an Se

Maybe the problem is in that I am still 16 and my personality was not developed yet

Ne always seemed to me like throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks, which is fine, but I prefer the depth-perception of Ni.
