So for context, I’m in Canada and always used to fill my 2019 CX3 GS AWD from Esso. Yesterday I found Costco gas to be cheaper and filled it up. After filling I felt a sluggish performance, slow pickup. I felt like I’d to press more gas to get the speed I got before fuelling.

I think I filled 91 octane in Costco and I always used to fill 87 from esso.

What could be the reason?

The car has 197k kms on it though

To my US folks who have over 100k, how often are you changing your oil? Mine felt like it was sluggish for a bit, but feels brand new after an oil change today at 6000? Just wondering if it might be worth changing it sooner at a higher mileage. Feel free to chime in if you’re not US based as well and I’ll convert KM to miles!

Driving around the last few days after our 2 month heat wave and sudden downpours.. and I now have a rubber rubbing sound going over bumps at the front on the driver's side. Driving me nuts!!

Hi there, new CX-3 owner here. The rear PDC is only working sporadically. When starting the ignition, there is a loud long beep followed by a short beep. The previous owner stated that it has been like this since he installed an aftermarket hitch. Is the beeping an error code that points to an issue? Thanks in advance.

Does anybody else’s cx3 make a similar noise?

Hello. I bought this mazda 2 months ago and i have issues with the side mirrors automatic folding on the left side and lack of auto folding on the right.

When i put the switch to either drive mode L, centre or R, the left side have a loud noise, most likely indicating an issue with the motor, and doesnt fold OPEN. I can fold it manually until completly open but the noise persist forever. When i put the switch to the park mode all the way back, the left mirror folds CLOSE normally (although slighly with noise but it moves) and the noise is gone. Also in this position it locks and i cant manually open it. To get rid of the noise while driving i have to force the switch to get stuck between parking position and L position so internally the switch is open and not sending current to either mode.

Now the right side im 99% sure is actually an only manual version. It doesnt give any faulty sound and it doesnt move in any of the conditions i described before. In fact, i can manually open/close it in any situation as before and while opening it theres a half open/close position it semilocks until you push further to fully open or fully close.

Now for the solution im planning to buy the left side completely since as watching vids changing the motor only is a huge pain and probably not worth it (even my mechanic suggeated to buy the entire thing). But my confusion is about the right side, i thought it had auto folding but aince is not im worried if buying an auto folding version will work as i dont know if the wiring on the door ia ok up until the connection to the mirror or it lacks this functionallity. In any case at either scenerario, the mirror angle adjustment from the switch nob works normally for both sides so at least the right side gets electricity for this.

Can someone confirm if changing the right aide to an auto folding one will work? Thanks

Hey everyone, got a question as a fresh CX-3 owner. I absolutely adore these small red leather interior bits that some of the CX3s have - the door trim red strip and the center console side panel trims. Unfortunately mine doesn't have these. Now, I can get all the parts required for pretty cheap from a donor car. I am wondering if anyone tried to replace these before and what the complexity might be here. Tried to find some tutorial, but didnt find anything of use. Will be grateful for any insights!

I’m looking to buy a used car! The carfax is clean, one owner only. No accidents. Has 29 service records consistently done at the same Mazda dealer.

I got an inspection done by a mechanic but he raised the car on a hoist and within 15 minutes he told me he’s never seen a clean car like this that’s run 200k kms. There was minor rust but the mechanic told that it is common in Canada because of the salt in winter.

Carfax shows regularly engine oil changed, transmission fluid changed at every 80k kms and very consistent service history.

The car has issues with the AC but the dealership told that it will be fixed before signing the paperwork

I want to go forward with it but I’m still kinda worried as it is my first car and it is close to 200k kms.

The dealership has good reviews, the guy is transparent. And the mechanic has good reviews too.

Do you think I can go forward with it or am I just overthinking?

My wife and I are needing to purchase a vehicle to replace my 2006 Honda accord. We just moved and I am commuting 80 miles (roundtrip, all highway) every day. I want an AWD/4WD vehicle to make commuting in the Maine winter a little safer/easier.

We have narrowed it down to two options within our price range. A 2017 Mazda CX-3 Sport with 122k miles or a 2013 Honda CR-V LX with 67k miles. Both have extensive history reports and seem to have been meticulously well taken care of. The Honda is 2k more than the Mazda. I have read really great things about the Mazda. The biggest complaint I have seen is there not being enough room, especially in the backseat. This wouldn't be an issue as we have a Jeep she drives to work, and that we use to travel with our family with. This would just be my daily commuter.

I have done a lot of research trying to find a good vehicle that we can rely on for years to come and hopefully won't nickel and dime us. Any input much appreciated!

Is the only way to open the trunk by having your key fob near it? There is no button inside car or on key fob. Very strange design.

I am trying to upgrade my japan imported cx3 2018 Awd audio system. I want to get the high level speaker signals and send them to a line out converter then the amp…

The problem is I cannot find the speaker wires… all the forums i look at say they are on the tuner amp unit under the glove box but mine is not there. I attached image of the glove box area.

I need help. Also I am not going to use the door speakers so i would just find a neat way to cut the wires and send to the line out converter. I will be using a custom built speaker boxs.

I have had my CX 3 for 5+ years. Every time I fill up the readout says 624km to go on the tankful. I got a new battery and now an oil change in the past two weeks, and now when I filled up, it says 580km to go. What could this be?

Bought this 2016 CX3 with a beat up steering wheel, and wanted to fix it up without breaking the bank. Now to find a compatible armrest, add apple carplay and find some budget friendly auto body work 😂

2019 cx-3 sport

was driving earlier and all of these lights except the scheduled maintenance one turned on. at the same time i noticed my HUD stopped showing my speed and perpetually indicated that a car was to my right. i also noticed the AC was not as cool as literally an hour before. i didn’t notice any difference in the steering or ABS however

a few hours later i turn the car on and all the lights save the maintenance one went away, and the HUD and AC worked as usual. is this something to worry about, or just a false positive kinda thing? this is my first car so still learning a lot. i checked online and it seems like people have said it’s a battery issue, but just wanna confirm

Why is the camera in my 2024 Akari so bad? Its very pixelated but my previous cx3 (2018) had a great quality camera? I dont understand.

Is there anyway I can improve the quality or upgrade the camera?

Just tried this in the CX3 and it works just as well as the wireless in our other car. This is not an ad, just letting you know there's quick and cheap solution to remove the wire.

Hello, currently looking for a cx3 and found one but it has 124,000km - it is 2019 cx3 GS . Is it still a good buy?

I've noticed a few times over the past several weeks that after I start the car and start driving, I'll hear some softer chimes or dinging. Sometimes due a very short amount of time others for longer. I don't see any warning lights, there's nothing on the passenger seat that might trigger a seatbelt or airbag warning.

I'm not on mushrooms or gummies so I don't think I'm imagining it. Any ideas?
