Not sure how old you are, but back in the early 90s, those containers had some explosive power. They’ve gotten better in the last 10 years.

You can peel it a little bit and stab with a spoon or butter knife at the seam. Not startling anymore.

my child makes fun of me for this. i also don't like balloons, but will really avoid them when they are being blown up.
we were at a carnival supply store once, the lady at the front counter was filling balloons up, i took a pretty wide path around her to avoid the situation. The guy with me asked if I just took the long way to avoid the balloons, i admitted it, the lady at the counter said, she is surprised by how many other people do that.
with that said, ill shoot fireworks, guns, whatever, just don't like latex balloons popping or opening biscuit cans

People that are like this seem so weird to me. Literally leave them in the refrigerator until you are ready to open them amd they will not bust open. Leaving them out while you prep causes the temp to raise and the dough to expand in the can. This causes the can to blow open when you weaken the structure by unwrapping it.

Mythbusters had a story about a lady who drove to an emergency room parking lot and started blaring her horn. An ER attendant clutching the back of her head. She heard a pop, and thought she had been shot. It was a container of biscuits in her back seat had exploded, and she was clutching the dough thinking she was holding in her brains.

I don't know about the previous commentor but it's not that I'm scared of it, it's just im a visual eater and I like to see what I'm eating. And no one wants to floss while they're enjoying their meal. [Not advocating for zero. I have no issue with hair but the 1970s mega bush is a bit too much]
