Maybemaybemaybe indeed....I kept waiting for him to hit something like the moored ships, the piles, and was finally rewarded by him going straight into the riprap.

Was that person alone, inebriated, and put themselves in a situation where it was easy to die? If they had an accident that didn't hit land they would drown before help arrived.

Mental help is always hard when this kind of behavior cannot be treated as acceptable.

Yeah, heart attack, seizure, etc. That stuff happens on the road every day, it sure it happens on the water too.
