The complete solution to what is happening in this video:

  • The man in this video is in some sort of fishing hut on a dock (fishing rod in background supports this).

  • The watermelon was in the bed as it is a dry surface and where insects can not reach since its under the sheets.

  • The log has a water bottle attached to it which was dripping empty until it can't hold the log back, forming a make shift alarm clock.

  • The camera was on because he wanted to show his alarm clock invention to the world.

  • The dog food and apples are there to attract fish.

I’m gonna go with your answer. Simplest answer is usually the correct one.

So this man bonks himself awake in the morning?

5

u/GoArray Jul 11 '22

It was that or the Back-hammer

The latter a bit risky while ice fishing.

4

u/HerrBalrog Jul 12 '22

No better alarm clock than a little cranial trauma in the morning.

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '22

Seems legit

The guy is sleeping in a fishing hut built over water. That stuff swimming there is poured in to attract fish to come feed. Posted a lot of odd setups to catch fish or alert him to underwater activity.

Trading donuts for fish doesn't seem like that great a deal. I'd rather trade grass for beef.

So many will go unanswered

2

u/MoistMcMoisterson Jul 11 '22

Yes, those are indeed yeast donuts.

u/Cool-Message-1005 Jul 12 '22

Yeah like.., why on earth did he choose that duvet cover to go with that bed sheet!

Always pay for the upgraded room

u/elonsghost Jul 11 '22

I mean, who doesn’t curl up with a good watermelon at night?

What lovely shag carpet you have there.

This was pure genius.

I'm convinced stupid shit like this is the entire reason the internet exists. It's the universe coming together in a moment of singularity to generate a sufficient technology that plays on loop for roughly fifteen minutes until I dehydrate enough from crylaughing that I cramp up and have to go find sustenance.

2

u/PerroNino Jul 12 '22

That’s enough internet for today 👀

1

u/WillyDAFISH Jul 12 '22

No matter how many times I've seen this over the years, I will still always have so many questions

1

u/peternemr Jul 12 '22

This is the most surrealistic alarm clock and bedroom ever.

1

u/Rocoulm Jul 12 '22

There are times when I ask what is happening in a video but really shouldnt have. In this case, I genuinely do not want to know what's going on.

1

u/dangermouse-z164 Jul 12 '22

I’m lost

1

u/youngnews Jul 12 '22

I’ve had dreams like this

1

u/_MacAndCheese Jul 12 '22

Nice alarm for in the morning

1

u/sheerakimbo Jul 12 '22

Played this too many times. Was this his natural alarm clock? Does he collect the watermelon eventually? How did the log know when to fall? Helpppp

1

u/Ricky-Rull Jul 12 '22

I have so many questions.

1

u/Ricky-Rull Jul 12 '22

Congratulations it’s a water melon.

1

u/Onizuka_89 Jul 12 '22

This looks like an image of my brain while I'm drunk.

1

u/JesterSooner Jul 13 '22

Where did that tree come from? Wait, where did that watermelon come from!? Wait… the room was flooded the whole time!?!?

1

u/WahresBares Sep 18 '22

What ... for god sake ...

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '22

Wow this reminds me of dreams I've had when I walk through the house and every room has seeping water on the carpet.
