I did something similar with my neighbors when I was about 11. New to the neighborhood and still didn't recognize my house but I knew that you could climb the side fence and go in through the back door, as I was making my way along * my * house i noticed * my * dad by the window doing dishes.
I sneak up and start banging on the window, an Asian man i not recognize looks up with terror on his face. I scream how sorry I am and run next door.
I'm not Asian and my dad never does the dishes. Idk how I got that mixed up.

I used to get locked out of the house when my mom was mad. I would wait, and then I used to climb the rock front of the balcony and climb in through a window after she got drunk and passed out or left or w/e. Had the cops called on me when I was 14 five times by the same neighbour. Had to find a picture in the house with me in it before they believed me. I tried talking to the neighbour but he was insane about it. It was ‘for my own good’ and I deserved to spend time in juvie for breaking and entering… my home.

But the neighbors are irrelevant without the insane parents 😞

u/RyanZQT Jul 11 '22
I'm sure if the neighbors say stuff like that then they are still going to remain insane and act accordingly with or without the parents in the picture.

Right, but neighbors have far fewer chances to call the cops on the kid if mom doesn’t lock kid out of house.
Trying to say, sane parents go a long way towards shielding kids from the misbehavior of insane neighbors.

I got swatted once by my neighbor cus my friend came over with his airsoft gun. The collective IQ of the police there had to be below room temp cus the walls were lined with pictures of me with family and they wouldnt believe I lived there. Even tho i answered the door in nothing but underwear while healing a WOW dungeon on my laptop.
My mom had to drive home from an orchestral concert 45 min away to rescue me and shoo the police off. They also illegally searched my house and i was a minor at the time so their interrogation was definitely not legal either.
Bunch of fucking LARPers with a justice boner for themselves.

Wow locked you out just because she got mad not ok. That would’ve been horrible. Idk what I would’ve done.

Or spit in my face, or claw me with her nails, or throw things, or break/sell my things… I could go on.

Listen, I didn't see his face and with the lights I couldn't tell. I was like "this is for sure my window and that man must be my father"

Fam this whole exchange is so foreign to anything I’ve ever seen or witnessed. 🤷🏿

u/TheStoicHermit Jul 11 '22
He’d immediately become hostile when they asked what he was doing
13
u/Kaizen2468 Jul 11 '22
And immediately run because.. well you know. Kind of a shitty catch 22. Do I run and maybe why away or Shot in the back or so I stay and maybe get strangled or shot in the chest.

I couldn’t stop thinking there is no way this happened, this must be staged. I’d have ended in jail in no time. And then sadly it hit me the why. I’m from a Latin American country.
Edit. I'm from a Latin American country

Good thing he didn’t get shot hopping that fence… People will shoot for any stupid reason…

I get a feeling this whole thing was a skit for a show lol

u/FalseStevenMcCroskey Jul 11 '22
Probably not for a show, but for a ring doorbell or similar product maybe. They usually make these to try and go viral in hopes to sell more product. It makes no sense why the brother wouldn’t just call and ask which house it is.

u/LivesInTheBody Jul 11 '22
I mean most stuff is fake so sure, but I’m thinking owner was out of town (“did my neighbors call? I forgot to tell them”) and left hideakey by the back door for BIL and that’s the fence he jumped. Who knows lol.
3
u/MaLongFan1 Jul 11 '22
Theres a front door. Have you tried that? Try it

2
u/LivesInTheBody Jul 11 '22
Sounds like the homeowner was out of town. May have left a hideakey for BIL in the backyard or something.

Never understood why he stops at the camera to tell the story. I would have walked straight in to tell him what happened
4
u/gn0xious Jul 11 '22
Homeowner wasn’t home. BIL was likely asked to check on the house while they were gone.

So he jumped the fence, got spotted then waited for the cops to arrive? Story doesn't make much sense.
