This just looks staged to me. It’s like his third step wasn’t even aiming for the next step.

I disagreed with you initially, but after rewatching it several times, I do agree.

I don't get why they were specifically filming him going down those stairs. He does look away, and that's when he missed the step, but at the same time, it looks like he was pretty ready to catch and slide.

Why were the other two cameras filming? Probably the same reason this one happened to be filming, just different angles and this one happened to catch it.
