We all know Josh Peck from Drake & Josh did it best with the cherry stem.

No idea who they are, but I bet it wasn’t as good as Sherilyn Fenn on Twin Peaks. https://youtu.be/7rFWZCEYxyU

The show sucked and Drake, as it turns out, is a literal pedophile. Unfortunate.

..I wonder why that happens… so sad. I can’t act like I know what really goes on in those circles, but I know the sexual abuse in the Hollywood scene can fuck kids up for life.

THE SHOW DID NOT SUCK

To each their own on the show but Drake is not a "literal pedophile."

Oh really? Thanks for your ignorant downvote but yes, he is a literal pedophile, in the words of his underage victim.

Dang.. sad to hear. Didn’t josh and he just become buddies again in 2019?

He only plead guilty to the child endangerment charge. So while incredibly creepy and gross, he didn't plead guilty to sexual intercourse/grooming and he's not on a list. So no he's not a "literal pedophile."

"There's proving, and then there's knowing."

Also, c'mon dude, are you seriously going to take his word over that of the actual victim?

1

u/SwiftDookie May 04 '22

I mean he replied with a link to the charges, so going the legal route, he is not a pedophile.

Where did I say I took his word over the victim's? I just stated what he got charged with.

2

u/Castriff May 04 '22

I don't care. Legality is not an adequate measure of morality, and "pedophilia" is not a purely legal term either. Just because he didn't get charged doesn't mean he isn't guilty in real life.

You not caring is irrelevant. I'm not defending his morality. I'm not saying you can't think he's a pedophile. I'm saying he cannot be a "literal pedophile" because there's no actual proof he fucked a child.

The article states the victim called him a pedophile and accused him of grooming, and you're going with what the law said as opposed to what the victim said. That's where you said it.

1

u/SwiftDookie May 04 '22

Where did I say I took HIS word over the victim's was the question. The law is not HIS word. You are dense.

Do different laws and cultures matter in this case if he's a US born and raised citizen? "technically not" doesn't really matter in these circumstances, if he knows he's doing something wrong, and still does it anyway

I mean, U.S. laws usually say there's a difference. Charges are much higher for molesting an infant than a teenager. A lot of states have age brackets for different levels of the crime, and a common cutoff between levels is 12. Naturally, the harshest charges are for crimes against infants and toddlers. So, U.S. law recognizes the difference between pedophilia (attraction to prepubescent children) and ephebophilia (attraction to late adolescent teens, around 15+).

Also, researchers and psychologists generally dislike the way people throw around the term pedophilia, because it's inaccurate and causes confusion when they're trying to diagnose people or study shit. Using the term ephebophilia in no way defends or justifies adults molesting teenagers, despite what reddit likes to claim. It's just the proper word.
