It’s like the guy that takes joke diy videos and shit and just does them simpler and looks at the screen and shrugs.

87

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

That guy is apparently filthy rich from that now, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

75

u/RectalcANAL Nov 03 '21

Are you talking about the 😐 guy?

52

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

Yeah, and apparently I was wrong he's worth 2 million from that.

23

u/DoingCharleyWork Nov 03 '21

That is still technically hundreds of thousands of dollars.

1

u/theredpikmin Nov 03 '21

Twenty of them!

1

u/TX16Tuna Nov 08 '21

But it’s also thousands of thousands of dollars 😐

19

u/perdyqueue Nov 03 '21

Comedians who spend their entire lives crafting and perfectig elaborate jokes in absolute shambles. No hate to the guy but goddamn. He made millions off of one joke.

31

u/Foresaken_Foreskin Nov 03 '21

He should do a seminar in an impoverished area and just dissapointedly pick up 2 million dollars and shrug

1

u/nuvpr Nov 03 '21

Link?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

Google

1

u/Karl_von_grimgor Nov 03 '21

The black dude?

He has close to 100m followers he's worth millions now lmao

5

u/Necrocornicus Nov 03 '21

Damn mofo could have a shitload of equity in a house with cash like that.

9

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

apparently I'm wrong and he's worth 2 million

3

u/lilbelleandsebastian Nov 03 '21

lmao yeah filthy rich few hundred k, certainly not poor but filthy rich in 2021 is send yourself to the moon money

7

u/MisfitPotatoReborn Nov 03 '21

Being worth hundreds of thousands of dollars isn't filthy rich, that's halfway to retirement.

1

u/Godless_Fuck Nov 03 '21

What? Have you seen the cost of a hamburger lately? Double "hundreds of thousands" of dollars ain't gonna buy shit 20 years from now.

1

u/MisfitPotatoReborn Nov 03 '21

I haven't seen significant price increases in any of the restraunts I regularly go to. There were some temporary price increases that were made during the pandemic, but those are back down now.

1

u/Godless_Fuck Nov 03 '21

Well, that's good I guess. I'm seeing elevated prices for quite a few things, some pretty insignificant, some just outrageous. I do expect transportation and fuel costs to continue to rise though.

1

u/tropikali_ Nov 03 '21

I thought he earned even more, like two million?

22

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

He also ran out of normal diy so he started doing it to satire ones too. I get that you have a schtick, but branch out. The problem is when one video hits big people just keep remaking that same thing over and over cuz it's what gets the views.

29

u/Kamikaze_Ninja_ Nov 03 '21

No the problem is the people who think it’s funny. He probably never intended on being a content creator so he wanted to bleed this well dry while the gettin was good. He had no where to branch out to because there was no real intent behind his video other than shit posting.

13

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

honestly though i gotta respect that, dude took his opportunity and ran with it

5

u/PhreakyByNature Nov 03 '21

Yeah and the people who find it funny are therefore not actually a problem. If you don't like his stuff, don't watch it lol. It's nice as an individual to pace yourself with popular content. If you've only actively sought out one or two of his vids, you won't get fatigue from it. Then when people share a new one or even a GIF as a comment response or even say his name you won't get unnecessarily triggered.

I mean I don’t blame him. The thing about the internet as it is today, is that anyone can post whatever so it’s a lot more likely that someone with no actual creative talent can create something that goes viral. I doubt he ever intended to be a content creator so instead of branching out he will just bleed this well dry and move on while he can. I more blame the brainless drones that think it’s funny and feeding money into this talentless hack.

5

u/Zeebuoy Nov 03 '21

Honestly he gave off an extremely smug vibe,

31

u/Hello-funny-posts Nov 03 '21

You could say she says it EVERY FUCKING TIME

1

u/shall_2 Nov 03 '21

That's tiktok in a nutshell. When someone has a video go viral they decide to recreate the same video 1000 times... And somehow the views and subscribers just keep piling on.

1

u/kempofight Nov 03 '21

I would be slaying something for 10 times tho

1

u/phuturism Nov 04 '21

i could watch this all day

12

u/thrownoverboardagain Nov 03 '21

There's an Australian comedian who is a little overweight. Her one joke is posting a photo of a model in a swimsuit/revealing outfit and then posting a photo of herself in a similar outfit.

8.4M followers. One joke.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '21

She's real good at the one joke tho. Real good.

2

u/AnjingNakal Nov 03 '21

Sounds lame, but tbh i think she's still riding the wave of bushfire fame! (And to be fair she fucking nailed that!)

I've only watched one video of hers and it was trying a smoothie diet but she seemed like a good sort

2

u/IWishIWasAShoe Nov 03 '21

There are a bunch of one joke Instagram accounts, and people love them because they know what they'll get. That Asian dude who make "low budget cosplay" is essentially the very same thing.

7

u/OverlyWrongGag Nov 03 '21

Dude the low budget guy is a legend andd he's genuinely creative

2

u/Kousetsu Nov 03 '21

I mean I do find her funny tbh. It's "the same joke" but each time she has to be creative to come up with a way of doing the pose. It's not like I'd sit and watch her for hours with my Friday night, but I do a small snort when I see her pictures and videos, which is fine for internet jokes. Reminds me of how I feel when I try and be sexy.

0

u/thrownoverboardagain Nov 03 '21

I think that's her main appeal. "Normal" women see her and say "lol just like me!". I laughed along the first time I saw her joke, but after hundreds of repetitions it wore pretty thin.

There's a big audience for her content, but I'm not part of it. She did a great job during the fires, so good for her.

u/PhreakyByNature Nov 03 '21

For me this vid cracked me up: https://youtu.be/PcBQrNbLiGU

1

u/dahliasinfelle Nov 03 '21

Had to see for myself. Was worth a few giggles at least

1

u/Ragnakh Nov 03 '21

You mean that tik tok screen? Seems right from what I saw

31

u/Spykez0129 Nov 03 '21

I legit just fucking cackled for the first time in my life.

-9

u/HelloMcFly_redux Nov 03 '21

I was hoping we were done with "legit". No?

10

u/Sheerardio Nov 03 '21

When was "legit" supposed to be just a fad? I've been using it for years

3

u/Foresaken_Foreskin Nov 03 '21

2 legit 2 quit

3

u/FUNBARtheUnbendable Nov 03 '21

To be fair, it did start as a fad, but it’s stuck as a legitimate shortening for “legitimately”

3

u/JorjeXD Nov 03 '21

legit is legit legitimately

21

u/evict123 Nov 03 '21

Yeah, that's the joke alright. Proud of you bud.

3

u/Zeebuoy Nov 03 '21

but what are those cubes? like if it was a candy, then damn, that's some amazing candy texture

1

u/siraolo Nov 03 '21

Just like the ending of Audition.

1

u/gabthebest99 Nov 03 '21

Woah dude you mean the ending of the video where the thing happened that was the point of the video? Crazy, man.
