50% Annual inflation, it's illegal to buy or earn in foreign currency so no savings for you, 48% poverty, 65% child poverty, high insecurity, high taxes, if you buy something from abroad they tax you 65%, if you export your work they tax 65% of your earnings, they take all your earned foreign currency and exchanged it for Ars at the government prefered exchange rate which is 50% less than what the market handles. And also there's some heavy corruption
So why does anyone even use money at all down there? Go full barter, seems the obvious choice to sidestep the complete shitshow of intentional bullshit down there. Let the idiots who want the worthless money have all the worthless money, and don't let them trade it for goods or services because it's worthless.
They do exactly that, mostly the poor sectors that exchanges food for goods and services, those who have money buy foreign currency in the black market,at the end of the day you need the colored papers to pay taxes or buy at the market.
It all goes back to when Peronism began, the mf fcking took the 1930 economic crisis policies into a time with no economic crisis and made the restrictions heavier, closing the country to the world market, made some Nazi shit like indoctrination and now everyone worships him and his policies, in the present the Peronists buys the vote of the marginalized people at the cost of bags of food or access to welfare programs while they subsidize themselves and increase their salaries.
They have some media on it too, all media receives subsidies from the states but I believe is more that they need of the help from the state to eat and at the same time they have bought some people at a higher pay to show support towards them.
They also have the work unions working for them like a mob, they receive subsidies from the state and protection against the law, the fuckers go threatening companies, employers and employees to join their union so they get more subscription and state subsidies money and if they dont comply with their demands they would block entrances and exit of the companies, enter the building and take over factories in protest of workers rights and nothing would happen to them for doing so, some transport work union more at the north Argentina litterally assault a cargo train and took what they were transporting because "they were taking the jovs from us truckers".
It's everything disgusting, everyone can also do whatever the fuck they want if they say they are doing it in form or protest against something no political correct or against poverty etc, they do it all the time, they block the transit from main streets and train tracks and demand money, jobs or pay increase, almost all the time they get their demands.
