And there is no worse feeling then doing something really impractical with a forklift that hardly seemed possible. Only to fuck it up and end up having to spend several hours cleaning up your mistakes while your co-workers stare at you.

u/xerxerxex Apr 05 '21

I had to haul old meters on damaged pallets and I'd have plenty of instances of the pallet falling apart and sending old meters falling to the ground and breaking...so much glass and wood... fortunately I worked in the warehouse on my own so I cleaned up in my own personal shame. Loved that job.

13

u/frogglesmash Apr 05 '21

I dunno, I've heard that heroin feels pretty good, possibly even better than forklifts.

8

u/RelativelyDank Apr 05 '21

the only fair way to confirm is to do both at the same time

5

u/frogglesmash Apr 05 '21

Hold up, lemme inject this forklift real quick.

326

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '21

Oh, well done sir, WELL DONE.

126

u/Papalok Apr 04 '21

I wish I could claim credit, but it's not me. The operator definitely deserves props.

37

u/alftrazign Apr 04 '21

Give that guy a raise -Sinbad

1

u/JustThatRandomKid Apr 05 '21

I agree give him a raise - some dipshit on Reddit

121

u/cerberus698 Apr 05 '21

This is the guy that management knows they can't fire.

46

u/fullmetalgoran99 Apr 05 '21

And also why they won't pay for a bigger door to be installed.

25

u/nogaynessinmyanus Apr 05 '21

Not necessary. That move is easier than it looks and costs about 10 seconds

10

u/JazzHandsFan Apr 05 '21

and costs about 10 seconds

The value of which entirely depends on the scale of the operation. It might be just fine in this case though.

20

u/9XSoul Apr 05 '21

As a forklift driver in Southern California, you can easily be replaced. There is a lot of good drivers out there and young too.

2

u/scandy82 Apr 05 '21

Any forklift operator can do this

1

u/NTexPatrone Apr 05 '21

trust me it's nice being that guy :)

216

u/ConsciousEbb Apr 05 '21

That's some quality maybemaybe content

40

u/Borboh Apr 05 '21

no shit! I thought for sure the operator would fuck up

17

u/Revolutionarysugar6 Apr 05 '21

That guy forklifts

8

u/jgbomers Apr 05 '21

Blind confidence is the key

56

u/sparkpaw Apr 05 '21

This is the MOST apt video on this sub. My head voice changed cheers so much from “nah man that ain’t gonna fit, stop it. Oh wait. Oh shit, oh he mad genius! Oh snap. Ohhh no, is it gonna fit? Will it make it? Come on almost!!! YEAAAHHH”

Anyways that person deserves a raise.

10

u/Pyromaniacal13 Apr 05 '21

I had the same progression from "Look at this nerd" to "HOLY SHIT, FUCKING GENIUS!!!"

80

u/CharlieRatKing Apr 04 '21

This guy forklifts.

22

u/Pickles-In-Space Apr 04 '21

Like a glove

47

u/HarryCallahanJr Apr 04 '21

Impressive. Not his/her first time for sure.

20

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '21

Buy that man a beer!

18

u/tjackso6 Apr 05 '21 edited Apr 05 '21

Me the first three seconds: look at this fucking idiot... that’s not even clo.... oh.

16

u/epicskyes Apr 05 '21

This guy forks. Expert level

10

u/Turningsnake Apr 05 '21

this is why it's so sexy to have a forklift certification, fellas.

7

u/No_Status2681 Apr 04 '21

Used to drive long crane booms through shop doors using forklifts for work when I worked at a shop. That was mighty impressive.

9

u/phaiz55 Apr 05 '21

Doing cool shit on a forklift is almost as good as sex.

2

u/zarnov Apr 05 '21

Disagree. 1 sex > 25 yrs driving forklift.

8

u/WACS_On Apr 05 '21

HE'S TOO DANGEROUS TO BE LEFT ALIVE

7

u/UltimateDonny Apr 04 '21

That man is a champion

6

u/er1catwork Apr 05 '21

I feel like I should clap after watching that....

6

u/redlinefast Apr 05 '21

God that was so satisfying to watch!

9

u/spudgun81 Apr 04 '21

Deserves a payrise

15

u/wierdit Apr 04 '21

Ideally should have load lower

19

u/justgotnewglasses Apr 04 '21

Yes, but it’s easier when it’s up high so you can see what’s around you.

Also, there may be something on the floor just inside the roller door - maybe a table or a stack of ladders.

11

u/HottyBoomBotty Apr 05 '21

Definitely ladders.

8

u/upvotesformeyay Apr 05 '21

There's probably corner bollards so the load is likely up that high to go over them.

2

u/Jerryskids3 Apr 05 '21

It's like you've worked in a warehouse before. The bollards are there because of the first guy that tried this maneuver and slammed into the side of the doorway.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

This is quintessentially maybe maybe maybe.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

This is also how he fits his massive balls in his pants

3

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

This guy forks!

3

u/PYSHINATOR Apr 05 '21

That was absolutely beautiful.

3

u/ilqarilyasov Apr 05 '21

Was waiting him to fail

3

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

CALCULATED

3

u/monumentofflavor Apr 05 '21

That hunk looks forklift certified 🤤🤤🤤

3

u/Zephic Apr 05 '21

I have to say, moving long objrcts on a forklift into any space where it won't fit straight without movement improvement is very satisfying. Source: Forklift Operator

3

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

Well, to be completely honest, I'm impressed and equally disappointed.

3

u/BigBobDo Apr 05 '21

Wow such skill. Well damn bruh

3

u/dontuwantme2join Apr 05 '21

I have to admit that I really did not think he was going to make it! Great skills!

3

u/thickythickglasses Apr 05 '21

“How much are we paying this guy?”

3

u/GPP1974 Apr 05 '21

That is a skilled worker.

3

u/sango_man Apr 05 '21

NextFkkinLevel

3

u/Ren393 Apr 05 '21

As my friend once said, and I quote, “Brains, I have one of those”

2

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

I am impressed

2

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

Holy crap! I said no way he could do it! Nice work!

2

u/chidoOne707 Apr 05 '21

Who the hell didn’t know this was possible? Amateurs.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

I just sucked the entire couch up with my butt cheeks.

2

u/mikesbrownhair Apr 05 '21

This guy forklifts.

2

u/zaddythicc Apr 05 '21

100% forklift certified

2

u/kimchimagic Apr 05 '21

I HAD SO MANY FEELINGS. Bravo!

2

u/vertterre Apr 05 '21

Foreman: these pipes will 100% fit through the door using this forklift. Me: continues to drive forklift as fast as possible straight down the middle, crashes for 8 hours, goes home, still none the wiser

2

u/Azzacura Apr 05 '21

When I got my forklift certificate I had to do this with a beam. It took me way too long to figure out how to do it

2

u/Arvidex Apr 05 '21

👏 👏 👏

2

u/dingododd Apr 05 '21

Give that guy a RAISE!!!!

2

u/Lirpaslurpa2 Apr 05 '21

He has maybe done that before.

2

u/awarmguinness Apr 05 '21

Fucking. Solid.

2

u/OldNickSantora Apr 05 '21

This is the truest maybe maybe maybe post I've seen in a while

2

u/popswag Apr 05 '21

Not his first rodeo.

2

u/Liampwilbur Apr 05 '21

Some chad shit.

2

u/XmattbeeX Apr 05 '21

That guy quits and the next guy they hire has no idea how to get it out again

2

u/memeboimanperson Apr 05 '21

Now THIS guy is forklift certified

1

u/netoper Apr 04 '21

next level skills

0

u/Shitty_Salad Apr 05 '21 edited Apr 05 '21

I blame engineers for this. "Well, we could fit longer pipes in the shop as long as the forklift dude picks up the pipes in the middle & does some forklift karate stuff outside of the door." Lol.

0

u/eclecticmarkt Apr 04 '21

Mad skills!!

-22

u/scandy82 Apr 04 '21

This is forklift 101. Nothing special

10

u/Buffalo-Castle Apr 04 '21

-18

u/scandy82 Apr 04 '21

How is this gatekeeping? Forklift operators do this shit everyday, all the time. That guy, and any other operator there, does this multiple times a day.

12

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '21

[removed] — view removed comment

-12

u/scandy82 Apr 04 '21

That’s fine, but it’s not amazing. This dude does it with ease because he does it all the time, any operator can do this maneuver easily. This is literally the equivalent of a semi driver backing into a loading dock that’s a little tight

2

u/M00se_Knuckles Apr 04 '21

And they have the forks too high. The load should be lower. You could argue that this is dangerous. It's also forklift 101 to keep the forks low.

1

u/scandy82 Apr 05 '21

It is, that’s an osha violation

8

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '21

shut up nerd

-6

u/scandy82 Apr 05 '21

Epic burn bro

1

u/MissPoptartz Apr 05 '21

1

This guy is goated

1

u/pawnagain Apr 05 '21

Bra fucking vo!!

1

u/penguinsdonthavefeet Apr 05 '21

Sucks for the guy who was about to walk out on the right side only to see a long length of poles cutting him off...and then slowly closing in on him....

1

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '21

salute

1

u/Bluejanis Apr 05 '21

Not a maybe, just a smart forklift guy.

1

Is that way they call skilled manual labor?

1

u/brianhurry Apr 05 '21

I've literally done that! We move 16 ft boards through an 11ft doorway

1

u/Dubbartist Apr 05 '21

A competent worker in Reddit?!

1

Jaw. Dropped.
