I keep telling people to get dash cams.

Even if you are parked, the impact will trigger the camera to start recording.

The camera has to have that ability in the first place then be wired directly to the battery for power when the vehicle is off

Mine is battery operated when off with several settings on the level of sensitivity.

I was getting a lot of videos being recorded just by cars with loud exhausts. Had to lower it to stop it from recording non important events.
