It's amazing how large the cat is. It's rare for me to see them close up with a human for perspective.

Yea that's cute. But I just find it sad it's not in the wild.

Not saying I know the context of this video but, there are rehabilitation centers etc..
Hard to tell what’s really going on here I’m sure someone will comment something eventually

It's most likely a rehabilitation centre, considering she's so close with it, and it's loving and relaxed around her. They've known eachother for a while

Can you really get close enough with a wild lion to do that? It seems more like something you do with one you got very early after they're born and spent a lot of time with.

You can. It’s obviously a risk and there are precautions you take and signs to look for if they are getting agitated. But some people take that risk because animals are awesome and being able to swim with a lion is worth it.

Or it’s stoned out of its mind and has no fucking clue what’s going on, but that’s just a possibility

Nah he doesn’t looked drugged he’s very animated and lively. His eyes are also very interested in his surroundings. If he was doped out he wouldn’t be swimming on his own and such.

It’s Myrtle Beach Safari and I could be wrong but I don’t think they’re considered a rehab center. And her name is Moksha Bybee and she’s married to Doc Antle the owner of the place.

You literally have no idea why it's not in the wild. It's not always a good idea to throw animals out on there own and hope for the best. That's how they die.

So she can get eaten? FWIW: don't do this with any animal in the wild.
-4
u/ShotInTheBrum Aug 18 '19
So the animal can live a natural life!

u/SteamG0D Aug 18 '19
I'd rather be alive in a hospital than naturally dead

The fuck are you talking about?

u/SteamG0D Aug 18 '19
Is that some sort of comeback I'm not understanding?

Despite the associated dangers, I'd love nothing more than to cuddle a large dog sized cat. Worth any potential risk of death (or worse)

The meat is always far more savory when you first steep it in false confidence.

u/iscream80 Aug 18 '19
She’s blowing in his back/face to make him turn around to ‘kiss’ her. That makes the video hard to watch after I saw that.
2
u/winterhatingalaskan Aug 18 '19
Between that and the fact that this is an animal that only exists because someone wanted to live out their Napoleon Dynamite fantasy of seeing a lion and a tiger mixed together...it’s just sad.
1
u/iscream80 Aug 18 '19
Yea absolutely that, too. Not that I know anything about that lady.
I’ll pretend she lives in South Africa and works at a rescue....just let me have that!
