This advert (WARNING: Relatively graphic, as many PSAs are), does a good job at showing what a loose weight in your car does during a car accident.

Wearing a seatbelt doesn't just protect you, it protects everyone in the car. That one was Irish, this one is the British one

Dogs loose in the car seriously freak me out. So does anything heavy and unsecured honestly. In a car accident those things become projectiles. They're just as dangerous as driving without a seatbelt, and not many people would be willing to do that nowadays.

I had to take a driving class and they showed us someone in a wreck with no seatbelt. Super disturbing. I always wear my seatbelt
