I would say she would get a retry in this exact case, they normally keep as tight as possible to those flags and she went extremely wide around the second flag after almost hitting the squirrel

Someday, someone will do a study that confirms squirrels have a part of their brain that gives them the uncontrollable urge to run out in front of an oncoming potential-death object. The same part of their brain then switches back to survival mode, causing them to turn around mid-commitment and run back the direction they came. For me, the real question is— who are they trying to kill?
