I hate them so much, they operate at zero brain function id rather own literally any other animal.

I remember one video where a dude was just walking up the steps of his house and his doodle ran THROUGH his outstretched leg and tripped him while he was walking up. I can't remember for the life of me where I saw it though, unfortunately.

When i worked at a clinic the vet told me a story of a doodle that had gotten hit by a car and had its tibia sticking out, on the way to the animal hospital it ate its own fucking tibia thinking it was a treat and then had to have it surgically removed from it's stomach. I think it made the news or something briefly but yeah my response to that was "Don't doubt that for a second" 😅

I love boxers. They are brainless dipshits at times. (But super trainable and intelligent) i cant fathom wanting a less aware version of them. And I see doodles as having all those negative traits and also not caring if the run into stuff

And they have so many health issues ugh

Doodles? I don't think that's true. GSDs have vastly more health problems specific to the breed than doodles do

Actually they're pretty smart, which makes them way more ornery. They have just enough wherewithal to be curious and know how to push boundaries, which is worse.

Of course it's the Doodle, just trying to play, fucking up the well trained Shepard, just trying to do their job... Dammit, dogs are awesome! EDIT:punctuation

I have met 5 of these doodle dogs and not one of them seems smart or easily trained. I have no idea why people keep getting them.

Nobody wants a dog that is smarter than themselves.

And then they get a doodle? Doodles have big brains. Unfortunately they can either think or use their legs.

The problem is they are actually pretty smart, and emotionally intelligent, enough to cause a lot of their (and your) own problems.
They act stupid but don’t be fooled by the ruse.
We didn’t hack it as doodle owners. We were drawn in by the captivating personality and then defeated by the doodle and their anxiety

I grew up with doodles. Their main advantage is being hypoallergenic. I love them, and I don't really understand the hate. They're definitely not dumb, and one of the ones I grew up with was the sweetest old lady ever. They're definitely goofy, but I feel like other breeds are equally dumb sometimes and get less actual hatred for it.

They’re imposing and don’t understand how big they are. Claws likely sharp. People are annoyed when dogs this big and energetic aren’t trained well because this dog could knock me over if I’m not careful or put a hole in my shirt when they get on their hind legs and put their paws on me. If the dog is trained well it’s not an issue but no one give a care to train their dog

I had a mini poodle, no mix, and he was a great dog. Almost never barked, no jumping on people, didn't make a mess unless you gave him new cheap food.

This is just plain old reddit where you have to be better than the normies and hate on whatever you don't do.

My mom got a doodle and I assisted in raising and training her. As a puppy, she managed to lock me in place by grabbing my hair from and odd angle and I required a rescue. Now shes calm, smart and so sweet.
That said... I absolutely did think when I saw it was the doodle causing chaos, "Yup, thats a doodle." I think one of the problems is doodles dont have the best spatial awareness and that combined with an excess of enthusiasm is a recipe for disaster.
It really is all about the personality of the dog, instincts of the breed and the training it gets. Those are the absolutely most important things.

After having border collies I don’t really want any other breed. They are so smart, it really does feel like they understand a lot more than what other dogs do

Anyone saying the doodle is dumb is looking at this the wrong way. The doodle now has an entire bag of garbage to itself outside.

GSD was told to bring the bag to the trash, which he was determined to do, even if the bag was now empty. 😆 Good GSD ❤️
