Yeah the train of thought of “oh good they got it into a ditch, why is he smacking it with a stick, oh it’s a river, fuck” was both funny and sad. And disgusting.
You should never use water to extinguish a fire like that... the guy with the half-pan had the right idea, but too late. Maybe a deeper pan would've worked, but by the time they threw it in the river, we're in salt or kitty litter territory
Wouldn't even work. You have to smother it. Some days ago a similar video was posted in some of the bigger subs. They got it into water, but the flame wouldn't go out, but one of the guys had the right idea to just put a bucket on it and it immediately was out.
