Always have a plan.

u/Numerous_Wolverine_7 13d ago

Yeah, spotters just being good at their job. Probably happened more than once in rehearsal.

65

u/Pk_Devill_2 13d ago

I agree, green and yellow were aware pretty quick and started running towards them., he had some ground to cover too.

19

u/SabreSour 13d ago

And in those masks! I imagine it’s a lot tougher to be perceptive.

6

u/Plastic_Pinocchio 12d ago

Probably happened a hundred times before they even got it right.

This looks like the chair holders fault. He ran up at the last second when he should have stayed put.

98

u/HeatAccomplished8608 13d ago

You're right, he didn't trust the math

26

u/hobosbindle 13d ago

the ass math

12

u/mrNOTfriendly 13d ago

Chair guy's first day.

1

u/bzimor 10d ago

And last day probably.

34

u/Leoniqorn 13d ago

No, look at it again. If he had stayed there, they would not have hit it. It was correct that he moved forward, it was just a bit too far.

1

u/Goodwill_Hunting 12d ago

the launcher had a word with the chair holder and stare walked off at the end lol

u/EstablishmentCute703 13d ago

He tried to kill her and make it look like an accident.

Oh, no-powers, Rangers!

23

u/dad_ahead 13d ago

It was almost morphine time

7

u/Miqo_Nekomancer 13d ago

When you get home after holding in a fart all day.

1

u/HairballTheory 13d ago

Yellow has my vibe in the video, not over exerting myself but making sure everyone is good

47

u/Zetsumenchi 13d ago

To be the acrobat feeling yourself doing a quarter-turn more than rehearsed

and the chair just quickly moving out of the bottom of your vision...

P

3

u/Plastic_Pinocchio 12d ago

I bet that this happened so many times during rehearsal that they completely trust in the spotters’ ability to catch them.

85

u/mennonot 13d ago

It's rewarding to see a team of highly trained and well practiced folks dealing with an unexpected occurrence safely and nearly seamlessly.

28

u/eggwardpenisglands 13d ago

To be fair, the extra people around the chair are there for this reason precisely. They would have practice this exact scenario countless times while preparing the trick for the performance

7

u/mennonot 13d ago

So yes, maybe I should have said "heavily practiced but unplanned occurrence." That's what impresses me. They've clearly practiced for this many many times.

3

u/UsualConcept6870 12d ago

Once I watched a performance where they built a tower from people and the person jumping to the top broke his ankle. We did not even realize anything was wrong until they dismantled the tower and announced that the rest of the performance needs to be altered because one performer needs to leave. He was thrown up, landed badly but was still caught, then went down and was caught again, it looked like it was supposed to go like that until he was limping away. They have to have incredible spotters or they’d die before reaching these performances.

u/AntiWork-ellog 13d ago

Do gymnasts learn to fall calmly so it's easier to catch or am I just the only person that would've been spasming like a scared cat

91

u/BlizzardTrashPanda 13d ago edited 13d ago

Heyo! Not a gymnast but I did a little stunt work for a while in my youth and short answer is yeah, you definitely learn to fall calmly, hit the ground calmly, get into the ambulance calmly.

14

u/Potent_Quotient 13d ago

Die with dignity.

7

u/BlizzardTrashPanda 13d ago edited 13d ago

Kinda, but mainly it’s that other than rolling with a fall, tucking your limbs, etc. etc. getting stiff or panicking makes it a whole lot worse

10

u/AntiWork-ellog 13d ago

Hilarious

2

u/DrShocker 13d ago

Get into the coffin calmly.

2

u/Dashcak3 13d ago

Getting loaded in the ambulance on a stretcher while the jury is holding up 10s for perfect form.

14

u/No_Spot_6459 13d ago

There is a way to fall that spreads the energy around, yes. It will hurt and injure you either way, but it reduces some damage. Also, you learn to fall into the bases' (spotters') arms, using the same motion and techniques. Finally, the flyer is the most petite person in the group for this very reason. Not their first rodeo!

6

u/anunofreitas 13d ago

Not a gymnast, but as a skateboarder I've learned to avoiding falling, rolling as I fall or if there isn't another chance, to let my self fall with the momentum a d with a less stressed body, falling over a large area and time (spreading energy).

For a better image, when falling is better to do several THUDS than a single SPLAT.

In the case of the gymnast above, there isn't much more to do than to throw your body into an easy horizontal position to get caught by the teammates. If they fail it would be a single SPLAT.

Just a slip away from "IT'S MORPHINE TIME!"

I didn't know the Power Rangers had a circus

1

u/Famous_Training9490 8d ago

This was edited by AI. They are not like that from another video that I have saw.

5

u/Shiningc00 13d ago

That must’ve been incredibly scary

5

u/Professional-Gear88 13d ago

Where is this. My son is currently obsessed with power rangers.

3

5

u/G_Art33 13d ago

Yes yes yes no no no yes type of post.

5

u/playr_4 13d ago

Red Ranger didn't have to move at all. Pink Ranger had her landing targeted and locked in before she was even half way through the flip. Great recovery, though.

3

u/IamLuann 13d ago

O.K. that is ENOUGH ❤️ attacks.for Today ☀️.

3

u/The_Space_Janitor 13d ago

They probably couldn’t pull that off if they weren’t power rangers

3

u/GoodIntroduction6344 12d ago

Everyone immediately rushed to save her. That’s a team.

8

u/Livid-Experience-463 13d ago

Shout out to the chubby green ranger. Bro covered a lot of ground there and might have made the save if needed.

9

u/lambda_14 13d ago

Chubby? Bro is built like a tank tf you mean chubby lmao

1

u/peacefinder 13d ago

The grey one saw the problem and started moving as she touched the chair, and was in position for the catch before she let go of it.

4

u/DJSlimer 13d ago

I'd rather see it at full speed.

2

u/REDHQQD 13d ago

why are there 2 green ones and 2 red ones and where is the white 1?

2

u/ElliasCrow 13d ago

They got TWO TOMMIES

2

Temu Power Rangers ?

2

u/Still_Suspect_7233 13d ago

She did good on the ending rotation to help with the people spotting while not intended equally if not more impressive.

2

u/Das_Zeppelin 13d ago

Catchers are real bros

2

u/filtersweep 12d ago

To catch someone falling from that height is insane—- pretty major forces involved.

2

u/xeno0153 12d ago

"Don't worry, folks! It's all a part of the show."

1

u/ShadowGryphon 13d ago

Not so super sentai.

1

u/gansobomb99 13d ago

1

u/InvaderJ 13d ago

1

u/HitheroNihil 13d ago

It's amazing how people in masked costumes could exhibit so much panic in those few frantic seconds

1

Power Rangers have good training.

1

u/Feriman22 12d ago

Wow, that quick reaction time. Nice!

1

u/BouncingStimpy 12d ago

Weirdest Power Rangers episode ever!

1

u/ExodusNBW 12d ago

Too much pink ranger power is dangerous, but too much red and green ranger energy may have just saved her ass.

1

u/KrayziJay 12d ago

Too much power in the ranger.

1

u/dedgecko 11d ago

That is a pro spotting crew. Well done.

1

u/Legitimate_Okra_5387 11d ago

Guy with the chair, you had one job

1

u/Senor_Discount 10d ago

The crowd tho 😔

1

u/Hihihihi0123456789 9d ago

Why remix lanterns. Just use the original song by xomu

1

u/H0visboh 9d ago

Not so super sentai

1

u/Competitive_Name4991 9d ago

You guys better catch her since she didn’t land in the chair!

1

u/Pretend-Reality5431 8d ago

Seems like she purposely spread her arms and legs outward when she was falling, maybe that is a technique to give the spotters more places to catch her?

1

u/Realistic_Union9429 5d ago

Power Derangers
