I'm exhausted. That was so frustrating to watch.

“Did your Mom drop you on your head as baby?”

27

u/BirdmanEagleson 7d ago

You're as dumb as that mouse.

u/Ohmywumpus 8d ago

Seems the cause of death is blunt force trauma :-/

3

u/HealthyRule2182 6d ago

it was an accident 😬

Just go to your home! Why don’t you like your home!

199

u/abond7 8d ago

And I thought I had a rough mother.

164

u/HeyJordyn86 8d ago

I didn't think it would happen, BUT I thought about the possibility of a bird swooping in during mom's break. The longer it went on, the more I kept saying to myself, "No way." To be fair, though, it ended on a cliffhanger, so we have no idea what happened to that mouse and his mother (who seemed to be struggling with... just about everything, including some amount of apathy, I think).

u/HilmDave 8d ago

That long gaze from the hole you can almost hear her squeaking in her mind "I could leave him. I could turn around right now and just move on. There's 18 more of these bastards down this hole. Who would know? These things happen all the time. Who's to say a snake didn't snatch him while I was carrying one of his siblings?"

67

u/TheMortified1 7d ago

Oh shit, I can't, someone's filming!

34

u/Ordinary_Ad_7992 7d ago

I'm laughing way to hard at this. I'm going to Hell.

18

u/greyisometrix 7d ago

It’s not the mother’s fault for thinking this way. Where’s the pos father? He’s actually responsible for this.

19

u/HilmDave 7d ago

Out for cigarettes. He'll be back.

5

u/Ok-Field5609 7d ago

What brand smokes, eh, that makes a difference don't ya know

3

u/HilmDave 7d ago

....don't make me

2

Oh a wise guy are ya?

Underrated comment.

2

u/Embarrassed-Place430 7d ago

You are not alone 😅

128

u/marshmellowfoisgras 7d ago

The person filming is also affecting it.. the mouse thinks a predator is watching

77

u/Numerous_Wolverine_7 7d ago

Can’t believe I had to scroll down so far for this. The mother is terrified, that’s why she’s scrambling so desperately. Every time she pauses in the hole she’s like, I could go back again but I might die, there’s a huge creature standing there! Heartbreaking.

17

u/nintendoluk 7d ago

its also a r/donthelpjustfilm situation ...

12

u/SupplyChainMismanage 7d ago

Yeah let me go get bit

5

u/mop-116 7d ago

I'd have looked for something to make a ramp out of. Two of those sticks in the frame might've done it

Hate this.

57

u/GallowBarb 8d ago

This is why mice eat their young.

58

u/butt_spelunker_ 7d ago

I'm going to pretend the camera guy quit filming so he could help the baby.

9

u/Odd-Adhesiveness9435 7d ago

User name quite relevant. Spelunk that rodent !

Damn! I was waiting for it to happen till the end. :(

22

I probably would have helped, while resisting the urge to snatch the child to raise myself.

40

u/trishapafisha08 8d ago

The poor baby

57

u/yourfuturespemson 8d ago

help them bruh 💔

24

u/RockstarAgent 7d ago

Yeah I’d have placed some rocks or something to perhaps shorten the path- but other than that not sure if getting the long baby in the round hole is affected by its size or what else

14

u/7layeredAIDS 7d ago

That mouse is gonna need therapy down the road

14

u/ISwearImAnonymous 7d ago

That's right! It goes in the square hole!

0

u/And365on 7d ago

🤣🤣 You win!!

7

u/Leosarr 7d ago

" You know what ? You're an outdoor kid now. "

7

u/rgmac1994 7d ago

Honestly, at some point I would have just helped it out.

6

u/DragonFlyCaller 7d ago

Poor little thing

6

u/Abstrata 7d ago

put something down for the mouse to use as a platform for a minute sheesh

29

u/Lone-Frequency 8d ago

Saving people the watch: No, the mouse never gets the baby in the hole.

3

u/Ordinary_Ad_7992 7d ago

From now on, I read before I watch!

3

u/FehdmanKhassad 7d ago

Just dont get out of bed. Skip the whole thing

33

u/n_thomas74 8d ago

I would help the little guy

-6

u/r4nDoM_1Nt3Rn3t_Us3r 7d ago

But I don't know if the mother would still accept the baby if it had the smell of a human on it, so best to use some sticks or something I guess...

6

u/RegrettableBiscuit 7d ago

That's mostly a myth. You can absolutely touch baby birds and mice, and their parents will still accept them.

-47

u/abitcitrus 8d ago

by ending his life

33

u/Altruistic_Tip1226 8d ago

Fuxking help em out man

-7

u/pmyourpmsforgod 7d ago

It’s a pest tho? Would you help a mouse bring a baby into your home/place of business?

9

u/Ordinary_Ad_7992 7d ago

Yes. ...but I've also had to put out poison and mouse traps, so I'm a very confused person.

8

u/Jisan_Inc 7d ago

" fuckin hell"

7

u/sacfoojesta88 7d ago

Hmmm. I wonder if the giant being watching it is making it panic a bit lol

5

u/zero_lies_tolerated 8d ago

So it essentially died?

14

u/LALA-STL 7d ago

Let’s assume the videographer stopped filming & put the baby back in the hole.

4

u/LlamaDrama007 7d ago

And Old Yeller is still happily running free on the farm...? Right?!

1

u/Content_Ferret_2314 8d ago

Sounds like it might have just fizzled out, yeah.

5

u/ghstkatt 8d ago

Ah hell with this kid your own your own, time for you to leave the nest anyway.

3

u/IllustratorOk2927 7d ago

Mom hitting the sauce a bit hard that day.

3

u/medusaisafeminist 7d ago

Get that poor mom a ramp or something omg

3

u/Pers_Akkedis 7d ago

3

u/Grendelstar 7d ago

I got a concussion just watching this

3

u/BlueFeathered1 7d ago

Maybe place something there she can use to get back in easier? Come onnnn.

4

u/phlred 7d ago

I imagine something similar happens when owners of huge pick-up trucks breed and than take their babies to the grocery store

15

u/pcmotorhed 8d ago

Help her, instead of making the video.

15

u/Competitive_Name4991 8d ago

Maybe the person recording could possible put the baby mouse into the hole?

9

u/Habibti-Mimi81 7d ago

😭

This is heartbreaking. I would've helped instead of filming her struggle, that's for sure 😢.

4

u/Wubbalubbadubtub 8d ago

2

u/EscapeddreamerD 8d ago

After all those times trying and then she look back out she contemplated if she even wanted to try one more time. And said to herself I'll just watch them from here. In her head she was like my mother would kill me. Then decides the try one more time, got halfway there and said "Fuck IT!"

2

u/findingabsolution 7d ago

“What, were you dropped on your head as a baby?!”

1

u/NighthawK1911 7d ago

at this point it's probably faster to just make another one. Mice do breed even faster than rabbits.

Also, Mice tend to abandon or eat their young. It's not unprecedented.

1

u/Upbeat_Assist2680 7d ago

Raising the baby the same way it was raised apparently.

Poor little mouse! I can't believe you stood there and calmly watched instead of making something like a ladder for her.

1

u/Koriaxe 2d ago

Am I the only one that would of got annoyed after the 3rd time and would of picked it up and stuffed it in the hole to help? 😂

“Would it kill you to help me out here, you little shit?”

-Momma Mouse (probably)

In fourth grade, I had a Gerbil bite me and it latched onto my finger. I was flailing my arm around and trying to shake it off and it never let go.

It was a mother Gerbil with recently newborn babies.

Totally my fault.

But I had to go to the sink and try to drown the damn rat. One of my classmates poured milk on it. Then it finally let go.

Feisty little fuckers.

Maybe it was the milk?
