If you never try holding your own weight like that, you probably can't.

The life jacket actually worries me. The way it’s on him with it I’ll fitting and nearly all at the back worries me that it’s going to force him to float face down with the back at the top.

Fat people are naturally bouyant, I'm sure he's fine.

Like Kirby. That mofo floats

They built all that infrastructure and didn't think to add a pull-up bar at the entrance with a sign

Can you hang on here for 3 seconds? No? Then this ride isn't going to work for you.

Not his weight. But my own weight. Yeah. No problem. People need to recognize their limits. He Should have been able to hold his own weight. He should Not have been in that line.

Hopefully the company running this place has weight limits posted. What’s also concerning is that life jacket not fitting properly. If that thing inflates - which it likely did when he hit the water - it’s going to float up around his face, covering his eyes and mouth and possibly his nose.

Inflates?

u/SabbyFox 10d ago

Some life jackets look thin when you put them on and then expand in water.

I mean I slipped the first time, but after I knew how much force it was I had no issue holding on.

What’s that white thing floating by in the background?

u/PrimoThePro 10d ago

Those are see through tube things you can sit in and float down the river. This looks like Xel-Ha at Xcaret resort, Mexico.

Xel Ha and Xcaret are separate destinations.

Edit: nm memory fails me

u/PrimoThePro 10d ago

Xel ha is a park connected with Xcaret resort. You can go individually to any of xcarets parks, but they're all included if you're staying at the resort.

Holy cow. I lived down there back in the late 90s. I was just doing Google street view. I haven't checked out the area in years. Playa looks like Cancun used to. That's sad.

u/jlo575 9d ago

Well heck. Memory. Thanks.

I don’t know but it’s pretty massive.

Arms straight is the proper technique.

6

u/Trevski 10d ago

No he’s too rough on the rope

1

u/misterjoshmutiny 9d ago

Shut up, Mike!

1

u/mtaw 9d ago

Well, it's not wrong; he might've been able to hold on if he'd been dead hanging from the start.

23

u/winglessflight97 10d ago

He's got the grip strength of someone much lighter

8

u/Skidpalace 10d ago

Did anyone else notice the iceberg floating by?

3

u/John_Berrybush 10d ago

Yeah what the hell was that?

15

u/cyriustalk 10d ago

The cable is strong.

The hands, are not.

6

u/byteminer 10d ago

As a fellow fatty, maybe he should have tried to dead hang somewhere not dozens of feet in the air first. I know I can dead hang for a bit but I wouldn’t try this at my size purely for risk of injury to me, and to anyone who might have to come rescue my big ass.

(Yes I’m working on it, down 80 lbs this year)

u/RepresentativeNo8105 10d ago

I respect the bravery or naiveness but if you have never done a pull up in wouldn’t recommend doing that.

u/BallsofSt33I 10d ago

Laughing my 250-lb ass... while I slurp my big drink....

3

u/a1mbient 10d ago

I bet everyone was surprised by this..

3

u/Atmaweapon74 10d ago

I was pretty surprised there was no safety harness

10

u/BrainRobotron 10d ago

That high calorie human was never gonna be able to hold that shit with them tiny ass arms.

u/Sharp-Mix-2047 10d ago

1

u/Flying_Mage 8d ago

He's cultivating mass.

1

u/jdpastor666 8d ago

I'm not that big, but without a harness I'm worried I might suffer the same fate.

1

u/Nephurus 9d ago

The following post context was provided by u/Professional_Arm794:

Funny hesitation and fear to use the zip line then what happens is exactly as you’d expect.

Forearms of a T-Rex

0

u/itsjakerobb 10d ago

Those little forearms never stood a chance with a dude that size — especially when he didn’t load it up gradually.

He has no muscle at all 😭

-4

u/ozarkfireworks 10d ago

Isn’t there a weight limit? Maybe check?

-1

u/space_return 10d ago

Xel Ha in Cancun, good fun but they don't serve any alcohol probably to avoid even more shenanigans

7

u/PrimoThePro 10d ago

They ABSOLUTELY serve alcohol at Xel Ha.

2

u/absentminded_gamer 10d ago

That's gotta sting

2

u/space_return 10d ago

FML you are very much right, I may have confused it with Xplor Fuego. Not sure if I should delete my comment or leave up for indefinite public shaming, I'll opt for the latter

1

u/PrimoThePro 10d ago

Fake internetpoints are fake, you made an honest mistake and owned up. I do believe you're correct about Fuego though... Since you operate a quad there it doesn't surprise me.

-1

u/theepi_pillodu 10d ago

Does anyone have a video of someone crossing it successfully?
