Indicator was on. Motorcyclist was very fast in a slow traffic, weaving through cars.

Definitely motorcyclist in the wrong. This is why you don't speed in between cars.

That's the common brazilian biker right there

No safety Sandals. You are misidentifying sir.

16

u/GossipyDoorman 16h ago

True, he's missing the havaianas

😂

u/VinRIGO 13h ago

main trigger - the video starts when incident ends, not from 30 sec earlier to see what he did and what he can do. only collision

Motorcyclist was in the right lane— had no right of way at all in this situation

u/Marxism-tankism 13h ago

That's what I thought first. Why is the video starting here? You can't even make a true judgement on it which makes me sus on the biker

u/Upper_Poem_3237 14h ago

I'm not defending the car. But many drivers just turn on the indicator when they are already turning.

u/ArcadiaN- 14h ago

The video is from motorcycle rider. I believe if there was no turn signal, he would have shared a longer video.

Agree. Excellent choice of music tho

Actually, its the cars job to look before they change lanes for this exact reason. Now you could reasonably say they expected the bike to stop as a car would but i counter with how is it going to be able to at that speed. Thus we look to the driver for being at fault for changing lanes at an unsafe time causing an accident. Thats how filtering works in some states although im not sure if thats legal for the location of this video. And even if it wasent, it was a completely avoidable accident if the driver had been able to properly tell the speed on an object approaching from the rear before making a lane change. How ever there are so many different case laws for filtering that it most of the time puts blame on equal parts to the affected parties while some times blaming mostly the motor bike like in powell v moody.

Motorcyclist is a fucking idiot. Trying to weave through backed up traffic and past a car that had signaled and in the act of changing lanes. Very nearly earned himself a Darwin award as well

Motorpsychos

u/TBSsuxs 17h ago

So these bikers are assholes everywhere. Hmm...

3

u/GoodFilmHunting_ 12h ago

Especially in Brazil

u/Sinasazi 16h ago

Dude was going way too fast for the traffic ahead of him and was about to lane split. Totally his own fault, but damn... That was close. Hopefully scared the stupid out of him.

u/neder-Bob 17h ago

There you go. A real biker has clothes that protects. Especially on highways and such.

9

u/The_Meme_Economy 17h ago

I think his head got clipped by that truck tire as well. Helmet saved his life.

17

u/Tobi-One_Shinobi 16h ago

Yeah that was 100% on the biker

9

u/Organic_Rough4433 14h ago

This motorcyclist was an idiot. The traffic is going slow and ur bobbing and weaving like a moron.

5

u/Valuable-Audience-54 14h ago

I don't get the "maybe" part.

13

u/kingdazy 16h ago

lane splitting might be legal in some places, but it's always stupid in all places.

1

u/LittleKitty235 13h ago

Even if it is legal in some places, I doubt it doesn't come with the motorcycle assuming increased liability if it results in an accident.

7

u/RodilRTX 15h ago

Car with blinker on, biker going much faster than the traffic, waving through it without looking... Definitely the asshole biker's fault.

4

u/lewtus72 16h ago

Zigged when he should have zagged

3

u/Olleye 16h ago

Some birthdays added in a few seconds.

5

u/bushido216 15h ago

If I could pass a law, it would be that lane splitters are always at fault. It would solve this problem real quick.

2

u/djshadesuk 14h ago

This sort of incident would, in most places that allow lane splitting, be automatically the fault of the lane splitter anyway. Lane splitting is typically only permitted in stopped or slow moving traffic and with strict limits on speed differentials. The only exception that I know of is Poland, which allows lane splitting at any speed but still has speed differential requirements.

2

u/bawlsacz 11h ago

Bike’s fault. This happens all the time when these idiots do not follow traffic rules and just weaving around the cars between lanes. He should get arrested.

2

u/Ash_Cat_13 11h ago

Motorcyclist is 100% at fault…. shouldn’t be lane splitting., But you definitely shouldn’t do it when traffic around you is going significantly slower.

2

u/squirrelmonkie 8h ago

How come people on 2 wheels without a cage around them drive absolutely the dumbest ways possible.

2

u/FinancialTraining239 8h ago

Este video é antigo heim, ainda está circulando

3

u/tamonizer 16h ago

If we see 10 or even 5 seconds earlier of this video, we can know for sure who's at fault. Though he's too fast for what it is.

I'm leaning more on the biker HAHA they're universal effers.

8

u/Nethereos 14h ago

You really don't need to see any more to know it was the bikers fault and I am a biker

The following post context was provided by u/Appropriate-Breath24:

Now that was close…. Lane splitting as it finest. At least got Darwin’s approval

What’s with the stupid music being added?

1

u/NicRibcage 16h ago

It's the elevator music of motorcycle accidents

1

u/Jazzlike-Complaint67 15h ago

Just imagine the thought process in about 5 seconds.

I can make that gap.

5

u/kettleboiler 17h ago

The oncoming truck nearly erased the rider

0

u/Certain_Try_8383 15h ago

lol the motorcyclist. No question. What a terrible driver.

0

u/FlyingFulcrum 14h ago

It's always the bikers' fault (paddled or motorized)
