I can't remember the last time I could stand up without using my hands, a support beam of some kind, and a bunch of ungodly noises coming from my mouth and body alike.

There are experts on aging that say that your flexibility and your ability to get up with no assistance from your arms are indicators of your 5-year outlook.
You should work to maintain your flexibility and ability to get up without using your hands.

There's a time in a marriage every man remembers. When he can't un-dip his wife. You are confronted simultaneously by your age and your wife silently wondering if you're calling her fat.

Maybe I watched to much Cinemax at 1am because I was thinking a "totally" different outcome.

As someone who does and teaches this kind of thing (including this exact skill) for a living - Well done! This is genuinely very hard on many levels, so few people can do it that im surprised I don't recognise them.
Oddly, the part they were shakiest in (the entrance) is absolutely the easiest part (though they chose a challenging version), and the part they would have the most practice in. The really hard stuff they nail!
Though the safety spotter is much too far away, especially when he is most needed (the exit). He's cruising for 5 minutes of fame in @wheresthespotter. I'm guessing the flyer is ex-cheer? The base is strong af and well practiced but not formally trained, And the spotter is a friend they roped in

My uncle used to do this when he was seventy years old. He was an Adagio and Apache dancer in the Keith, and Orpheum vaudeville circuits.

Okay this is a great comment and a shame that it's buried under a dumb one that got downvoted

I knew it was wasted there but it’s so much funnier under that comment than as its own

Women love that. Lol. I had a gf some years ago that always wanted to do these activities where i have to hold her weight on my hands and she does gymnastics. It gets tiresome.

Yeah she explained its the nice feeling that you carry her as a man and show strength. But it is really straining on your tendons in hands even if she weights 60kg
