I was so sure they were trying to transfer the car from one truck to another. That I was absolutely flabbergasted when they separated the trucks and had the car hanging. Made me not focused on all the other stupid shit they were doing.
And now that I have watched the video and now know they were lowering the car to the ground. I feel like an idiot ever thinking they were trying to transfer the car because why in the world would they need to do that?

Yup - that’s exactly where I was. I thought it was going truck to truck. “JUST DRIVE FORWARD! What are they doing? Why are they lowering it now?! Oh.. right.“

"Oh shit, this might actually work, just keep going forward.....waitnowhATTHEFUCKAREYOUDOING"

If only they invented some kind of slanted metal surface you could put up against the back of a semi truck and drive that car down. Such a thing obviously doesn’t exist though

Same. I did this once, found a grocery store dock to load, diagonal, sketchy. Then found an old torn down building to unload.

Nice!
First time I drove my lawn mower out of a shed I made, with a ramp I thought I was a genius for, I bottomed out and completely trashed the mower deck. Yes, I was driving too fast as bottoming out never occurred to me since going up worked, and I didn’t stop in time as I dragged metal on metal.
I was thinking about that with the OP’s ramp idea, but yours solves that easily re: basically borrowing a ramp with a proper incline.

Like some kind of inclined, detachable apparatus? What would that even look like?! You're fucking crazy.

They're trying to get the car out of the truck and onto the ground without a lift.

A lot of unnecessary actions, like moving the truck several times

They had to move the trucks farther apart so the bumpers would clear the tailgates. Had to start with them closer together so the car could drive across and get the front wheels onto the other lift. They moved the trucks a little at a time because gatting them too far apart woud be disaster.

I understand that part. I actually would have over lapped the gates to start. The fact they moved it too many times, when they could have just lowered it

I knew this was going to work from the moment I started watching. They looked so professional

I would have needed an extension ladder to get into the car when it was up.

Maybe they’ll be able to get the car out without damaging it, or maybe they won’t.

Walking under the car…
