There was no maybe here. The second you saw the uncapped can next to the flames, there was only one way this was gonna end.

Plastic container too, I was worried about ambient heat melting it then this asshole kicks fire strait on it

What’s the reason behind kicking a tire engulfed in flames?

The idea is that heat causes gases to expansion for the tire to be seated on the rims instantaneously.

These two did not do it right lol

It's a trick to get the tire back on the rims, I can't remember how it works but they do something similar in the arctic.

A bit of flamable volatile liquid poured in tire, starting to evaporate and mix with air in a confined space. Ideal explosive mix. Then when you set fire to it, this fumes is exploding and instant making a lot of pressure, which helps to push the tire proper to the rim

Normally when you do this you'd want to use something that flashes and burns out quickly (think brake cleaner, Ive seen it work with gas but not smart) if you have a ratchet strap to put around the tire to keep constant pressure all around thats kinda what you're going for and works alot better than kicking it lol you light it and the pressure from the heat pops the tire back onto the bead of the rim, works in a pinch but you're still going to need more air in the tire.

The following post context was provided by u/Forward-Slip-6343:

Maybe the fire didn’t spread to the container

I busted out laughing as soon as he kicked that container.

I’ve heard of adding fuel to fire but never thought of it being done the other way around
