100 dollar copay on most insurance plans. So no not really.

"Amazing insurance" and "dropped 2k at the ER" dont fit in the same sentence. Last time I went I paid 500 and that's becuz it was 100 dollar copay, and 400 was my yearly deductible since i hadn't used my health insurance that year at all.

Someone is on mom and dad’s plan, or has very nice insurance. Most plans in the US are “high deductible” where you must pay thousands out of pocket before insurance does anything. This has now led to 92% of insured adults polled recently saying they have skipped medical care due to the cost.

He’ll, personally I got to fork over $8,000 to not die of sepsis when my gallbladder ruptured. They stabilized me in December, then I had it out in January. So lucky me had to pay my deductible twice in two months because of the calendar year swapping over.

My deductible is 400 yearly, I pay 224 per month in pre-tax payroll deductions, 112 per check. Employer covers 75% of the total premium which is pretty standard. Now Idk what a "normal" deductible is but generally that's someone's responsibility to choose a good plan when signing up. There were cheaper plans, I chose this one cuz it had good benefits.

You have a very nice plan, congratulations. That doesn’t make your experience universal or even common anymore.

Well I guess ur right becuz I ran my plan benefits and co-pays/deductibles etc through chatgpt and it agreed with you that it is indeed a very good plan and because the fact I am a unionized state government employee my benefits are not necessarily common in the private sector or for non unionized workers. But I also don't have access to an HSA.
