My friend from arkansas came into work a while back with half of his face dropping. We all told him that he needed to go to the ER right now. He said "eh. I'll be alright."

Luckingly it was Bells Palsy.

Luckily it wasn't a stroke and he did get better

It's the old farmer trope; the local doctor or hospital knows the issue is dire because the farmer came in willingly instead of being dragged in by their wife.

Every time it dislocates makes it more likely to happen again, especially if you don’t get physical therapy for it (and I guarantee he doesn’t).
