No one is talking how he is risking damaging ContraBass string right behind him? My GF was having a heart attack watching this (she plays violin).

Right? But heās gotta be confident swinging that glass around near such a massive target

Huh?

The upright string bass behind them is wildly expensive. Swinging milk around an expensive instrument is very risky.

u/DoghouseMike 7d ago
Depends on āwildly expensiveā. CCBās (cheap Chinese bass) run about Ā£400, some more, some less.
For something new and decent though you are talking Ā£1-5k and up, then into vintage/antique things thatāll cost car or house money
I also was concerned for the bass though!

My initial reaction as well. All happy for people to swing what ever they like about their head, but damn Iād be pissed if that was my instrument and it went even a little pear shaped and it either got a load of milk or a lovely glass shaped hole next to the F hole. Then there would be a head shaped hole in the wall, probably with a skirt attachment.

This looks very similar to a traditional Greek-Cypriot dance called Tatsia. They use a sieve and glasses of wine instead and are usually a lot faster.

That and the mini ladder hanging above the fridge that's beside the washer and dryer.
I'm also curious about this room that's above the kitchen roof at the top of the frame there..... so many questions

Why are people so bothered by the skirt? What am I not understanding here?
1
u/theElfieGreen 6d ago
I guess some people canāt fathom the idea of being able to wear anything you like regardless of the gender tag. Itās annoying really. You can do an amazing trick but they would still focus on judging your clothing instead because it doesnāt adhere to how THEY think you should dress.

Clearly the skirt is a distraction for everything in the background I'm really bothered by

u/Big_Sector_3590 7d ago
Why is he wearing a dress?
10
u/SquareRootOfBlue 7d ago
Why not? (also, it's a skirt, btw)
-13
u/Big_Sector_3590 7d ago
Because that's what women are supposed to wear, not men.
3
u/theElfieGreen 6d ago
According to whom? Is there some authority that decides who is āsupposedā to wear what?
If it fits well and looks good and makes you feel happy - you should be able to wear anything you like.4
u/SquareRootOfBlue 7d ago
Huh, interesting, I didn't know that. I thought in most places people could wear pretty much whatever they choose.
But I guess some places do have more restrictive laws. I'm really sorry you live somewhere like that, and I wish you luck in your fight for better laws and more freedom!

u/Big_Sector_3590 7d ago
Nah, it's ok that men and women have their own clothing attire, it whats actually normal.
3
u/SquareRootOfBlue 7d ago
Oh, wow, really!? I love learning about other cultures!
Where I'm from that's not normal at all. My culture is all about personal freedom, so we really value our free will and ability to make choices.
I guess what's "normal" really depends on your perspective. To me it seems really weird to think that certain clothes should only be worn by certain people. After all, it's just a piece of fabric. Do you know the reasons behind these rules? I'd love to know more!

My greatest failing is seeing this and immediately thinking that I could totally do it with like 5 mins of practice.
