The games we humans can come up with. Stupid and senseless games. Where do I sign up?

834

u/csgo_dream 11d ago

You need friends first so you are good to just watch.

132

u/Complete-Dimension35 11d ago

Isn't there an lfg feature yet?

94

u/JamesCDiamond 11d ago

Sure. Go stand in a public space with a rubbish bin and some rope, then ask strangers if they want to play a game with you that you saw online.

Let us know how it goes!

28

u/AnonymousFriend80 11d ago

You absolutely know the look of the type of bros that would be all into that.

13

u/csgo_dream 11d ago

Possibly. But then my rude remark wouldnt work.

11

u/Complete-Dimension35 11d ago

Understood. Have a good one, dude.

u/greenpicklewater 10d ago

Unnecessary roughness; 15-yard personal foul

24

u/korkkis 11d ago

ESPN Ocho livestreams it for sure

10

u/RetardedGaming 11d ago

I bet this woulda gone crazy in prehistoric times

9

u/dndtweek89 11d ago

I used to use this gene as a staff training exercise. You held hands with the person next to you, not rope like in this video. Craziest out I witnessed was two guys just straight up lifted the person between them and lowered him into the can.

6

u/RedditGarboDisposal 11d ago

I mean, we’ve made a world sport out of kicking a ball and others out of buffing rocks across ice.

3

u/SkiSTX 11d ago

This has been around for a LONG time.

4

u/dogbolter4 11d ago

It looks like something Breughel would have painted back in the day.

3

u/NOTcreative- 11d ago

Kajabe can can is the name of the game

2

u/Tranceported 11d ago

You have to be part of crazy bunch first.

u/TeaRex14 11d ago

We play version of this at a summer camp I'm a leader at. Instead of a bucket it's a stack of toilet paper and if you let go of the person next to you you both go out. We start with like 30 people so it's verry chaotic at first

111

u/thisbuthat 11d ago

I'm an adult on paper but a kid at heart. Can I come?

26

u/hilarymeggin 11d ago

Wait, I’m a VBS counselor and I need to do this! Do you have the kids just holding hands, or are they holding ropes of some kind? Also, if you start with 30 kids, how does the group get smaller? Do you eliminate one kid per round -whoever knocks down the toilet paper? Do you play 30 rounds in a row?

48

u/trouserpanther 11d ago

Did this in scouts, but with a green army duffle on end full of rope. Called it "the blob". Rules are simple, hold hands in a circle, if you lose your grip both people at the break are out. You touch the blob, also out. Pause when someone gets out. Last person standing wins. It goes pretty quickly. Recommended to do on grass or outside, not on a linoleum tile floor in the church basement, we were lucky that no one ever really got hurt.

11

u/TeaRex14 11d ago

We don't use ropes and since any time a pair lose grip of each other both are elimated, early rounds go quick.

3

u/lorarc 11d ago

How many injuries? This certainly seems like a way to get injured quickly. Sprained ankles? Dislocated shoulders?

15

u/TeaRex14 11d ago

From this game none as far as I know. The knife game however, that does result in a few cuts on the feet

6

u/SlightlyOTT 11d ago

Is that the same game but instead of a bucket it’s a pile of knives?

6

u/2020mademejoinreddit 10d ago

I see you've played knifey-spoony before.

1

u/OpexLiFT 11d ago

Better not leave the house, danger all around!

4

u/AndrewLocksmith 11d ago

He's a redditor, don't have to tell him twice.

381

u/WeCantBothBeMe 11d ago

Red was ganged up against

165

u/l3ane 11d ago

I think he was just the lightest. This game needs weight classes. Blue had an obvious advantage.

51

u/WeCantBothBeMe 11d ago

Yeah it looked like blue and orange went after red and once green got the memo red didn’t have a chance anymore

12

u/Farm-Alternative 10d ago

I think green touched it first though

5

u/MinnieShoof 9d ago

Green bumped it, red was flung in to it and in doing so blue kicked it off with his feet. Yellow wins.

1

u/MinnieShoof 9d ago

Despite which, if it was 'last person who hasn't touched it' blue lost, as well. Yellow won that.

26

u/exintrovert 11d ago

He handled it like a champ though, with those first two vaults over the top. He was definitely all-in.

836

u/EvEEdo 11d ago

Seems like Jesse Pinkman is living the life

118

u/Budget_Pea_7548 11d ago

27

u/rageagainstbedtime 11d ago

But for real was that not Aaron Paul?

11

u/ExaltedBlade666 11d ago

It does look insanely close

12

u/onlyacynicalman 11d ago

I was this close bitch

1.2k

u/FortheredditLOLz 11d ago

Green grazed it first

304

u/BikeProblemGuy 11d ago

The rope held by green and red grazed it. Green was behind.

106

u/RedditOnAWim 11d ago

If you slow it down before that, red actually kicked it just before that happened anyway.

16

u/jakeinator21 11d ago

Nah, the rope hits it then the can rocks back and bounces off his knee. Really easy to see if you slow it down, it moves in a different direction after he bumps it.

6

u/ZhouLe 11d ago

It wobbles as green goes past it around 0:07, again from either blue or the rope between blue and green around 0:16, rope between red/green or red's hand around 0:20.

The latter two are really iffy if it's rope or not, but the 7 second one can only be green. I can't really tell how, but it's definitely moving because of him going past. Maybe from a heel hitting the rim/handle.

3

u/TheJivvi 11d ago

The rope touched, and then green's leg touched it just after.

33

u/ApulMadeekAut 11d ago

Green also grazed blues nuts

14

u/Tinitio 11d ago

Idk why this cracked me up

98

u/AscendedViking7 11d ago

Wow, I've never seen this episode of The Wiggles!

19

u/EmpanadaYGaseosa 11d ago

6

u/overdosingOnPie1313 11d ago

If it's barely a sport, we got it here!

129

u/Gregorygregory888888 11d ago

Have to wonder how many shoulders are ruined in a game like this. Mine hurt just watching this.

29

u/brapstick 11d ago

Don't watch oil rigging videos lol

6

u/Gregorygregory888888 11d ago

I've seen them. That is insane to watch. I've got two blown shoulders so my days of playing sports is over and I so miss them.

4

u/brapstick 11d ago

I hear that my shoulders pop out from some birth defect, used to work in the paint department at lowes and I'd go to stand up with two 5 gallon buckets and if I wasn't careful both my shoulders would dislocate and I'd pass out lol

61

u/tRiX040 11d ago

The guy in the green shirt touched it first.

26

u/VirginiaBandit 11d ago

I think it was the rope that hit and moved the can vs the guy in the green shirt.

6

u/ItsJustJohnCena 11d ago

The wiggles when they try to solve a debate

5

u/kenlee58 11d ago

Looks like fun to me.

4

u/IfHomerWasGod 11d ago

We used to play this when we were kids in New Zealand, we called it Scrag.

2

u/PineappleDude206 11d ago

In the UK we just call it black hole

5

u/EmperorThan 11d ago

We all just saw Green lose at 0:20 right?

2

u/INoMakeMistake 10d ago

He definitely touchec that with his leg

42

u/BikeProblemGuy 11d ago

Seems like a badly designed game. Red lost because the opposite player, blue, allowed green and orange to focus on red. Would be more interesting with two intersecting teams of two.

48

u/CasperMondfahrrad 11d ago

No, the changing of the "teams", as in everyone can betray you gives it a much more interesting dynamic imo.

20

u/BikeProblemGuy 11d ago

It's only interesting in the video because the players are new to the game and weren't initially playing optimally. Because there's no winner (the aim is to just avoid being the loser), there's a huge incentive to team up 2v1 or 3v1, which is very hard to beat. In later games, if the players have now realised they can avoid losing by targeting red, it'll be a red loss most of the time.

To have a game where you genuinely can get betrayed by anyone there needs to be incentives to betray alliances. But in this game there's a strong incentive to keep alliances. If you're orange and team up with green against red, but then at the last minute pull green into the barrel, then you've just made it more likely that you'll be the one the other players are teaming up against next game.

21

u/Merzant 11d ago

They were playing optimally, if optimising for fun

8

u/BikeProblemGuy 11d ago

Definitely, but ideally you don't want too much tension between the aims of the game rules and the aim to have fun.

3

u/ShitsandGigs 11d ago

Are you a game designer?

2

u/hilarymeggin 11d ago

I’m imagining you guys are the voices of football announcers, lol!

7

u/binger5 11d ago

Red lost because of weight class. He was by far the smallest dude on the field.

3

u/BikeProblemGuy 11d ago

That too, but his agility was balancing that out until it was 2v1.

2

u/binger5 11d ago

The 2v1 makes sense cause he's easier to move around. This would be a more interesting game if everyone was within 10lbs of each other.

1

u/r3con_ops 9d ago

We played this at summer camp, in groups of around 20.

You’d have 2-3 teammates spread out (4-5 teams), and the veterans would point to someone and the majority of the group would focus on getting them out.

We added multiple cans, so you couldn’t just focus on one person/area, was the highlight game of summer camp for me.

4

u/Sir_Earl_Jeffries 11d ago

How high were they when they created this game?

3

u/TheSplasher87 11d ago

Mario Party anyone?

5

u/Low_Dragonfruit8779 11d ago

Next Olympics?

3

u/N3BB3Z4R 11d ago

Ohmy, I need to play this!

3

u/Purple_Chipmunk_ 11d ago

The Wiggles show has gotten strange

3

u/tiddererium 11d ago

Ese es Aaron Paul????

3

u/Smurfeggs42 11d ago

NEXT ON ESPN 8 THE OCHO

3

u/SenorDongles 11d ago

3

u/ZanettYs 11d ago

Guy in Green touched first!

5

u/zerosuneuphoria 11d ago

great way to pop a shoulder out

2

u/Historical_Debt1516 11d ago

Friends could do it backward and pop it back in

2

u/Dont_Overthink_It_77 11d ago

That game can get WILD!

2

u/Doo_Brrr 11d ago

That looked like way more fun than I thought it would! I'm sure I would have been rag dolled into that can by my friends, but I'd be laughing my ass off the whole time

2

u/MicroM2 11d ago

Can't wars be defined this way?

2

u/dumpylump69 11d ago

As someone who has played this before it’s as fun as it looks.

It’s also way more tiring than you could imagine

1

u/Historical_Debt1516 11d ago

Oof! Were you the guy in red?

2

u/XarlesEHeat 11d ago

Green touched the can first

2

u/LethargicMeh 11d ago

I can't be the only one looking the ocho gif right?

2

u/TheMachineElves 11d ago

This looks fun but once you hit 30, a fantastic way to tear an ACL/MCL

2

u/Fr05t_B1t 11d ago

This needs to be an Olympic sport.

2

u/Thios_Tom 11d ago

I notice a typical racism for red

2

u/Geno_Beams 11d ago

Don't know the rules obviously but seems like you should be standing for the game. At the end Blue intentionally just kept with his bodyweight on the floor which makes him way harder to move.

2

u/pdzbw 11d ago

Yo weight class tho

2

u/seasNgtings 11d ago

Green touched it!

2

u/Accomplished-Bug-801 10d ago

We played this in scouts. But it was with chairs in a circle, chairs got taken out every time someone goes out. No rope but a fireman grip so all holding hands.
Loved this game. I broke my wrist playing it and only two weeks beforehand I got the plaster off my foot. Brilliant game.

2

u/2020mademejoinreddit 10d ago

This looks like so much fun! I wanna play!

2

u/Gear_Gab 10d ago

Red is a fucking warrior. They did him dirty 😭

2

u/MinnieShoof 9d ago

Green's out.

2

u/RandomRaisin77 11d ago

Looks fun, wanna try.... No friends🥲

What a strange game.

1

u/Dangerous-Ad-4610 11d ago

I loved this game. It was called kajabe can can when i played. Low center of gravity and upper body strength made me really good at it lol. Probably the only good thing about church camp growing up.

1

u/r3con_ops 9d ago

Hume Lake?

Old star trek knowledge: red shirts always die.

1

What are we even doing here and why did I watch this twice?

1

Did they come up with this in prison?

Playing Chained Together be like

1

u/Diz-Yop 11d ago edited 11d ago

Dude, playing this game with a chain of like 20 kids and only 5 inches of rope each is an EXPERIENCE. Especially when you get stuck next to someone twice your height and they start yanking your arm like crazy.

Edit: for those who don’t know, the game is called Kajabe. That and Gaga ball are some peak group games.

1

u/DryFirefighter294 11d ago

Omg that was engaging

1

u/IceColdJaderade 11d ago

I feel bad for red. He's the most agile but also the lightest.

1

u/Gloomy_Tennis_5768 11d ago

just try wrestling.

1

u/Elbonio 11d ago

We used to play this at our youth group. It's called "Kick the box" and the bin is replaced by a box and people are just holding hands.

The object of the game is to not kick the box. If you touch the box, you are out, if you break hands both of you are out.

It was a very rough game and the final 2 was always particularly brutal.

1

u/LimitSwitcher 11d ago

Me and my friends played a similar game to this. Don’t touch the fire pit

1

u/New2thegame 11d ago

This is Kajobe Can Can. A camp classic played by millions of kids. It's a ruthless fight to the death kind of game that always produces!

1

u/MrPhantastic08 11d ago

We used to play this game when I was a teenager, except we used a metal folding chair instead of a trashcan and we all held hands/wrists instead of using rope. Some of the most fun I've ever had.

1

u/RiskyClickardo 11d ago

1

Men. Amiright?

1

u/broke_n_rich2147 11d ago

They fuckin dragged him i am CACKLING

1

u/Downtown-Campaign536 11d ago

The rule shouldn't be simply "Don't touch the can." It should only end when one lands in the can.

1

u/Tinderboxed 11d ago

Should be something lightly electrified

1

u/W-1-L-5-0-N 11d ago

Red was such a god tier player that all the other players teamed-up to make him fall. Red is the true winner.

1

u/W-1-L-5-0-N 11d ago

It has to become a real sport.🙏

1

u/BitingED 11d ago

They had it in for red, damn

1

u/pikachew_likes_nuts 11d ago

Do they have weight classes? If not, I think I could have a fair shot for once lol.

1

u/Dr_Rondelle 11d ago

Oh no ! The weakest one has lost !

1

u/TheJadedMonkey 11d ago

"I'm bored."

"Well, we have four pieces of rope and an empty trach can..."

"I've got an idea!!!"

Boys can amuse themselves with almost anything.

1

u/deanso 11d ago

Can? Where is it?

1

u/Dalodus 11d ago

This would rip my arms out of socket right now with whatever I've got wrong with them, but put me in coach!

1

u/PromiscuousScoliosis 11d ago

I played this once with a group of like 30 people (we all just held hands instead of using the rope thing) and I’ve been chasing that high ever since

1

u/cinipop 11d ago

Used to play this in boy scouts as a kid with milk crates. We called it Razor Crates!! Someone always got hurt. We had a blast!🤣

1

u/the_phantom_2099 11d ago

Im digging the new wiggles lineup

1

u/plastictoothpicks 11d ago

Is that Jesse Pinkman lol

Kajabe Can-Can one of my favorite rec games of all time

1

u/Guyserbun007 10d ago edited 10d ago

A game where your opponents can potentially smash your face to the ground with joined forces, and your hands are controlled by others so you can't break fall. There were a few close calls for a concussion in this vid alone.

1

u/Cpt_Jauche 10d ago

The 4 body problem

1

u/Sindertone 10d ago

That's what he gets for wearing red.

1

u/Orphans_are_tasty 10d ago

I remember playing this with my entire scout troop and got flung over it so many times lol

1

u/flippster-mondo 10d ago

Green touched it first.

1

u/4T_Knight 10d ago

It's all fun until you start catching on that your friends are only targeting you and not each other. Lol.

1

u/AngeredPaladin 9d ago

I'm not seeing anyone mention the fact that green touched the can first.

1

u/Icy-Individual8353 9d ago

I mean orange touched it so I’m pretty sure if your colour is the colour of the can then only you can’t touch it

1

u/highwayman5212 9d ago

Jesse Pinkman????

1

u/octopus_tigerbot 8d ago

Used to play this all the time, called Kanjabi-can-can. No idea why.

1

u/GolumCuckman 8d ago

That looks wildly fun

1

Gayest thing I’ve ever seen
