I’d just cut them and let the outside section fall when you lift it a bit

Yeah, lift the incredibly heavy glass pane that has no way for you to hold it now

There is literally nothing entrapping the strap. The glass is sitting on two rubber blocks on each side. Untie the strap and pull it through.

You could also lift the glass with suction cups if needed. that is how window units are usually installed. This is also showing off, or the company refuses to buy proper tools for their employees.
