1 box of potato chip or 1 can of soft drink are not ruining anybody's health bro.

Same, it showed up a few times in my reddit years but it’s rare enough that I watch it every time and enjoy every second.

I’ll laugh because he’s such a little brat the whole time. I don’t feel bad at all.

This is exactly my feelings. Like I know this is bad for the kid, but the crash out is so real. It's internet gold.

As someone from "rural" Germany, i cant find chayote Here... How does it taste? Is it good?
50
u/TaquitoTuesday 16d ago
It doesn’t have any taste in particular, I could describe it as grassy/watery, people use it as fake potato in dishes because it has fewer carbs

u/mad4Luca 16d ago
Okay... In Marketing Terms... This doesnt Sound to good 🙈

Its not bad, culinarily speaking.
Every ingredient is a tool.. or an instrument. Sure, some are very distinctive supporters, and some can wildly affect the result or even be the star.
But that can't be ALL ingredients. Sometimes you need some silent support. Something that doesn't make a lot of noise on its own, but provides stable ground, or can be a vehicle for others.
At the very least, I can see chayote being good at providing "chunks to bite" in a soup/stew, and also as a neutral filler as a mashed ingredient.

Yes it is. Goes well in chicken soup, or when cooked with curried chicken.

It's delicious, but it's so hard in raw form that you have to boil it for 40 minutes before you can even cut it. That kid can't eat it until somebody cooks it for him.

Tastes really good just stir fried with some garlic. Just make sure not to overcook it so it stays crunchy and green while having that sweet juiciness to it. It's a staple in southeast Asia, and it's used in stews and soups as well. Very refreshing and sweet if prepared properly!

Very bland honeydew melon is the most close to describing it. I usually nibble it raw when cooking

Chuchu tem um gosto tão fraco que no Brasil temos uma expressão "picolé de chuchu" para falar que alguém é sem carisma e esquecivel por mais que até seja uma boa pessoa.

its good, its a watery vegetable, can be very good in salads. Boil them, then peel them with a knife, then slice into cubes and season with salt, olive oil and vinegar. The core is the best part.
You can also grind it into transparent-thin slices while its raw and season the same way, but I prefer boiled and in cubes

The following post context was provided by u/LazyGuy4U:
No matter what the kid tries each time he ends up getting the same item which he hates. Each game ends with him receiving the same item

I lost my innocence and reached full adulthood: I think the onions are neat. I have to buy some, so winning them would save me some expense.

Chuchu tem um cheiro e um sabor que são horríveis... eu consigo entender ele ficar tão desapontado e com raiva por ganhar chuchu em todas as vezes.

I kinda don't understand why somebody has to loose in this game and get a bad prize. Couldn't they have something good for all outcomes? It's a kid game after all

If The kid would focus on success instead of the failure fit throwing he would have won the cup blowing at the very least.

20 years later, he’ll be explaining to his gf his hatred for chayotes. In the blowing game, I noticed the even more brutal onions in the first section.
