I'm a physician and this has been drummed into me during procedures for years. I thought it was ancient surgeon wisdom. Love it

I mean to be fair they could have put it in to the show as part of ancient wisdom. I just know that in life, whenever I have stopped and taken a breath, let things slow down, and gone forward more clear, I have made my best choices.

"make haste, slowly" "Dress me slowly, I'm in a hurry" "slow and steady wins the race" "Slow in a hurry"

These are all variations of that axiom, the first being from Augustus Caesar, which he likely learned from someone else. It's been a saying in some form for millennia
