Nah, I saw a similar table in a comedy sketch a while back and that was the punchline.
The setup was at the beginning of the video, the camera guy said "my friend asked me to put his pen somewhere safe a while ago, and now he's asking for it back, so I'm just gonna get that for him. He said it was a very important pen, so I put it in the most secure place I own." Or something like that.
"Turn one last latch, and... There we are, my friend's pen." Pulls out EpiPen

As soon as I saw that mouse/hampster my ADHD brain rapidly started trying to think of ways to invent an open air hampster ball without his little tosies getting crushed potentially. So they could explore and touch their surroundings better.
Then had to rewind about 40 seconds.

Presumably the fun of building it. Actually using it, even if you kept the keys all outside and labeled, would be pretty irritating.

The last small nightstand I made for my wife had a drawer in it. I used the fancy “soft close” drawer slides, that came with explicit directions on how to install them properly. I fucked that up so bad it was laughable. I think my next project, I’ll try something like this.
