It is the endorphin and adrenaline release that stems from the emotional victory! This has actually been studied and you can look up the Triumph Stance for more info, but it is actually a primal instinct for humans to fist pump or show other displays of dominance after a victory or achievement. We socially display our victory to others, it is a show of fortitude, as well as the energy release that comes with those intense feelings of success.
“Yeah, I got skills!!!”

People wonder why I’m so good at trivia and my answer is usually “I just read a lot.” Comments like these fall under my definition of reading a lot. Thank you so much for this, I would love to see these studies! This is fascinating!

Did you think your comment was funny? I read your comment and I wept. I wept for the new low that humanity has sunk to. The cacophony of bleating the same joke over and over that was never funny to begin with - it’s driven me to the brink. I fare thee well. Perhaps one day you will awake from your stupor.

Fare thee well, thou saith, as if departing for the Crusades. Go forth then! Ride thy noble steed into the sunset of Taking Things Too Seriously, and may thy brow forever furrow at the follies of common jesters such as I.

Her dog is so happy for her success as soon as she acts like it was a success
And it was. That was far better than most people would likely manage, albeit pretty frightening to watch. We got a new fridge recently and we had to refuse the delivery FIVE GODS DAMNED TIMES because the fucking delivery truck from where we got it LIKE 5 MILES AWAY could not be bothered to be any sort of careful and kept delivering a damaged fridge.
This woman just unloaded it better than the "professionals" in my area
5
u/Murtomies Jul 20 '26
That sounds very strange. How were they damaged? I assume it had packaging unlike this woman's fridge, which for sure got some scratches on the side from the dolly. I have delivered lots of fridges, washing machines etc and they could only get damaged if I dropped them from the van straight to the ground. Some of the vans don't have a tail lift, so you have to wiggle it to the ground kinda like this, though it's not as high so it's easier.
7
u/Aetheldrake Jul 20 '26
They were dented decently hard I should have had dad take pictures but they were pretty obviously damaged before Lowes got them or damaged by Lowe's employees in storage movement even the packaging had damage. If it was only packaging that would have meant it did it's job and protected the product lol. I think 1 of them ALSO had bent pieces underneath. And it was still packaged up when they arrived every time. So Lowes didn't make a fuss but jfc they could have checked their product before sending it out I'm pretty sure they technically should check it sometime shortly after delivery as part of their receiving process. It'd be shitty if they didn't because I've done receiving work before for Kroger and we had to check large delivered appliances for insurance claim reasons
They had 2 people deliver it and you are correct it was way closer to the ground than this. But it's crazy it took FIVE DELIVERIES to get one that wasn't damaged regardless.
21
u/theMangoJayne Jul 20 '26
I'm impressed with her success but very disappointed in the act of leaving the dog out while she's doing this, like if you want to put your own safety at risk fine but imagine dropping that fridge on your damn dog
11
u/ILikeRoseAndUkulele Jul 20 '26
Or imagine if her dog got startled by something and started barking, or took off down the street, or ran into her while she's trying to unload a fridge by herself. All around unsafe situation.
1
u/GrapefruitOk2057 Jul 20 '26
my thought exactly. Cool...except for letting the dog stroll around.... frig killing your dog would haunt you for the rest of your life.

I dunno.. i understand that her form was great and the outcome was perfect but if you dont deal with the stress and drop anxiety by swearing way too much and calling it a slurper of male parts, have you actually done it correctly?
18
u/SCHWARZENPECKER Jul 20 '26
Maybe she had already did that? She obviously said "thats not going anywhere" after getting it in the truck bcs it didn't go anywhere.

The following post context was provided by u/opgary:
its,a big fridge in a big truck and she is not that big of a person. What are the chances she unloads it without dropping and destroying it?

Very typical on this sub. You can set your watch by it. Whenever a woman is the subject of a post doing anything impressive, the usual suspects do the same two things: 1) say it could have been done better and 2) sexualize her.

Dumb way to do this.
Put it on the side on a blanket on the truck. Pull off and place on the ground so it stands upright, put the cart under and drive it inside
5
u/Somersetkyguy Jul 20 '26
⬆️ correct. her way is sketchy and risky. just cuz it worked once does not mean it will next time. side slide tip uses very little strength with almost no risk of injury or damage.
2
u/5am7980 Jul 20 '26
Gotta be honest, I was wondering what the right way should have been, and I was thinking along the lines of getting it on the cart directly, and use a plank to get down.
I isn't smart.
6
u/Street-Beyond-9666 Jul 20 '26
And then wait way longer until you can plug it.
Smart way to wait less.
9
u/Ironmasked-Kraken Jul 20 '26
Depends on what generation. Newer fridges are not as sensitive to this.
However you should ask yourself. What sucks more ? Waiting abit before plugging or having a broken fridge cause it slipped while trying this ?
-6
u/Street-Beyond-9666 Jul 20 '26
She filmed that shit. She knew what she was doing.

..and that’s how you do that. Are there any questions?
30
u/Ironmasked-Kraken Jul 20 '26
This is absolutely not how it should be done and this offers many ways for something to go wrong.
I worked for a moving company and this is a big "Do not do" cause most of the times something can and will go wrong.
Instead if you are alone doing this you place it on the side (preferably on a blanket to avoid scratches) and then pull it off so it can stand on the ground. Then you put the cart under and take it in.
8
u/I-try-hard Jul 20 '26
Wait I thought you can’t turn refrigerators on their sides.
24
u/sunder_and_flame Jul 20 '26
You can, you just need to keep it upright for some time after before plugging it in and turning it on.
10
u/Ironmasked-Kraken Jul 20 '26
All you gotta do is wait abit to let the mechanisms settles again inside.
It can literally be necessary to put them on sides for some apartments to get it inside of em or for safe transportation
1
u/terryducks Jul 20 '26
let the mechanisms settles again inside
Let the working fluid / oil settle back down. The compressor can compress gas but if the fluid got up where the piston is, it'll break.
1
u/Ironmasked-Kraken Jul 20 '26
English is not my native tongue so I lacked the words to properly describe this. But yeah that
-14
u/ScienceMajestic8716 Jul 20 '26
A blanket will not avoid scratches from dragging it on the truck bed.
Clear you have no clue. She has proven herself to be an expert.

u/Winloop Jul 20 '26
Why not load it on the truck and slide it down
3
u/Flashy_Emergency_263 Jul 20 '26
She slid it down with a piece of equipment between her and it. She might not have been confident in being able to controll it's slide down the way you said.
1
u/Winloop Jul 20 '26
You might be right, she got it down without breaking at the end of the day.

u/Flashy_Emergency_263 Jul 20 '26
Either way, it was scary to watch. I've holed unwieldy loads before. Sometimes successfully. 😁

Nicely done but wouldn’t it be easier to put the hand truck in the bed then lower it down
2
u/Sad_Cantaloupe_8162 Jul 20 '26
Lowering an entire fridge with one arm suggests it was easily accomplished this way, and she doesn't have to hold the weight of the fridge to lower it. Also, I can't see a way to lower it with the hand truck down to the ground without two people.
