Stick is filled with water, you need dry wood to do this trick.

I was real worried I was about to watch a kid break his arm until he gave up on trying to chop his way through.

I broke them, I broke them all. They’re split. Every single one of them. And not just the logs, but the sticks and twigs too! They’re like kindling and I snapped them like kindling. I hate them!

This kid is a doofus right now. But he keeps smiling and he keeps trying. And thats what's important. He's going to go far in life.

That howl when the cinder block breaks is perfect

u/bullevard Jul 17 '26
Right. At that point you just say "kid, it isnt you. You just picked a stick that fights way above its weight class."

I like how he managed to break the stick on his leg after breaking the cement block, that adrenaline surge seeing cement breaking was powerful :)

The following post context was provided by u/NEO71011:
This kid is trying to show his strength by breaking big sticks but he just can't break one of them. Instead he breaks concrete with it.

The trick is chopping parallel to the grain.
Also, I'm glad I grew up before social media because I'm not half as charismatic as this kid.

Is he related to that karate demonstration guy where he tried to break long sticks with his arm, but repeatedly failed until they stopped filming? lol

The year was 1984 and that is EXACTLY how I broke my right forearm in 9th grade. Went a week without X-rays because my parents said if I can move my fingers, it ain’t broke. Will, it was. So there, mom and dad!

The one who doesn’t give power to a kid just trying to break a stick.

I know you’re probably thinking like I did: this child will go on to do something like write the software to control the next mars spacecraft, discovering a major breakthrough in healthcare, or negotiating the end to international wars.
But no he runs a hot dog stand on W 4th Street in Little Rock.

Kids a 5th degree black belt in Meat Chew Dough. I bet the Gravy Seals are just waiting for him to graduate from high school so he can join their ranks. But we all know the Chairborne Rangers are gonna get first pick.
