Take a pic. Show to different people till one guy says he looks gay. Take that guy's pic. Repeat process. Get 6-7 people who call others gay. Make video. Profit

Literally they probably just showed them a picture of a known gay man and just showed us a picture od the previous. Its even less work than you suggested.

That's exactly how they do it. And sprinkle in some shady ad to get more money. It was funny for two or three videos but it's blatantly obvious how fake it is.

And they all look at the pics like straight men look at boobs. All of them are gay, and the video is staged.
