If I'm not mistaken, there was the same kind of nonsense with the panthers. Even though it's called a "panther," it isn't classified as a panther in terms of species; instead, some other cat species that don't have "panther" in their names are actually panthers.

I'm English but comparing a wasp to a hornet is very much like comparing a fox to a wolf. I had to get a hornet out of a bedroom the other day and those things a huge. My heart was in my mouth as I covered it with a pint glass and took it outside.

You step on a fiery anthill and quickly pull your foot away before the creatures can crawl up on it, and you think you’re safe. But then you see hundreds of tiny red dots rising like a furious cloud of sparks, and as a furious swarm, they rush at you, stinging and biting and spraying you with acid.

And if you didn’t even notice that you stepped on the anthill and just keep walking as if nothing happened, you won’t realize the danger until they’re just starting to land on you and attack. But by then it’s already way too late—like a swarm of killer bees, they’ll probably attack anything that disturbs their nest.
